Guest guest
First of All I am truly amazed at the amount of information out there on this site and the amount that is hidden from the " adverage consumer. " I was referred to this site by Kathy after finding out that there is a vacine injury report that needs to be filed out for any reaction to a vacine. Amazing how Dr's don't tell you that. Anyway here is my short story of how I got here and how it has effected me. I have a beautiful intelligent 14yo step son who is effected with ADHD/PTSD and Asperger Syndrom. I truly believe alot of his isues while there is nature involved have been increaed simply due to a seriously abusive bio-mom. We got custody of him on January 2007 and once we got him out of junk food and hot dogs and beans heaven and got him eating healthier we saw an improvement. Last school year we struggled as the main stream classes were not able to " handle him " and we recieved the Aspie dx in October 2007. He still struggled with oversensory issues and bullying so we finally pulled him out and put him in a full time fully equiped varying needs school and he did GREAT until. . . . We recieved a call from the school stating he needed an updated Polio shot. I told them he is on the spectrum and shots are not recomended for aspie kids. I went to the psych to try to get an exception (Didn;t know there was a religious exception form) and he said " Grace he will be OK. . . there is no real scientific evidnce on this issue. " So I trusted him knowing his ASD background and let them give him the shot. The shot was on a Tuesday afternoon. canme home, said he felt pukey and laid down the rest of the night. Wednesday he struggles in school and the teacher called me saying he had soem Odd behaviors. .OK what is goign on?? Wed night at 6:45 we went to a church event. is very very spiritual and through all the struggles he has never lost hope or faith. I remember pulling him away from this event. they had tables st up (they were doing an ediquet training seminar) and kept geting the basket ball out. We went out in the hall to talk and he had the first " Autism " aka sensory breakdown I ever saw. He had the top of his ears folded over and his hands over his ears, eyes shut, mouth tightly closes, rocking sitting indian style on the couch. This lasted what seemed like an eternity as I could not get him to stop. Probably lasted 8- 10 minutes. HE came out of it and he could not verbalize. Called the neuro told her what was going on. . she said wait 15 minutes, no verbalization then call her back and se would nmeeet us at the hosptal. . .He got his verbalization back slowly but has been impaired ever since. Other reactions I have seen. . NO redirection--even in his face.. .and no anger management. He went from meltdowns to violent outburst. He has an action and explodes. We have had much property damage in the house and one occurence where he shattered a few windows out and got the police involved (ugh!!) HE used to be in touch with others emotions--I think I made her mad) not he can;t be in touch woth his or any other peoples. Not that this was bad enough. We had to put him in a residential treatmetn center about a month ago and guess what they did by accident. The schoolnever updated his records when we wasked them t fax over his shot records, told them he got a polioshot during school but instead of calling us, they gave him one again. The nurse said she would let everyone know but didn't. We talked to the program director he knew nothing, cottage director, she knew nothing, cotage parents, nothing. He had a reaction and no one did anything and guess what, he's back to square one with un ability to focus, anger ect. Soemone there mentioned a transfusion to help him but I don't know. Any suggestions?? I am thinking about contacting a lawyer. The cottage director said they should of called us but. . . Grace
Guest guest
So sorry for all the trouble this poor boy has had to endure. First thing is to get the boy to a DAN! or similar doctor, possibly try out the GF/CF diet and then keep an eye on any drugs given to him by the residential treatment center. All of the psychoactives can induce violent psychosis on their own, some even trigger symptoms very similar to autism (robotic behavior, lack of control, reduction in compassion, emotional withdrawal). Almost all of them increase permeability of the blood-brain barrier which potentially allows more toxins and pathogens to enter the brain, worsening one of the big underlying problems in autism. In the files section, read the article " Chemo Brain " (it's three separate scanned pages). Even the government conceded that some of these drugs, particularly the anticonvulsants like depakote, are known to actually cause autism and this paper shows that the drugs produce similar effects on the brain as vaccinosis and mercury. I mention this because that's generally what psychiatrists and residential treatment centers do-- drug the daylights out of kids. Then, if these centers or the psychiatrists are asked to withdraw the children from the drugs, they often recommend a too-rapid withdrawal that causes a worsening of symptoms, which is why many people tend to believe the drugs were " helping " , though an extremely slow withdrawal can produce better results. I also bring it up because the drugs cause so many problems you'll no longer be able to differentiate what specific damage the vaccinations caused. The same b.s. used to peddle vaccines has long been used to market the drugs. If they haven't yet medicated the child (beyond some short term anxiety meds), bear this in mind. The polio vaccine has been shown to carry " piggybacking " pathogens like a simian virus related to cytomegalovirus: http://www.ageofautism.com/2008/09/stealth-viruses.html It could very well be that hyperbaric oxygen therapy could help if he's got a brain infection. Many people use this and report good results. I don't know exactly what a lawyer could do in this instance, though I don't want to discourage you. If you want to sue the school for not keeping records of the vaccinations or the center for not seeking the records or informing you before vaccinating, you might have to first prove the vaccines can be dangerous and that's the problem we're all having around here-- not so much trying to prove that the vaccines are dangerous (plenty of evidence) but trying to get these substantiations and studies accepted and reviewed. There's such a war going on about vaccine safety and the justice system has been deeply infected by pro-business rulings (like Daubert, which states that " minority " science can be dismissed by judges, who may not have so much as a degree in bio). Getting medical exemptions for vaccines is extremely difficult and then there's the fact that some creeps at Hopkins tried to make a case for vaccinating children with known vaccine allergies. Others here may have more specific advise about taking the legal route than I can offer. As for finding a doctor to treat vaccine injuries, check the list at http://www.ari.org to see if there's a doc in your state. Again, so sorry to hear of this tragedy-- this list and the vaccine safety movement is never happy to " draft " a new member because it often means another child has been injured, though your input will be valued. > > First of All I am truly amazed at the amount of information out > there on this site and the amount that is hidden from the " adverage > consumer.
