Guest guest
Hello Beata and all others I'm happy you did not get any negative effects from the vaccine, and am sure that most girls don't! However, there are many misconceptions about this vaccine (it does not technically prevent cancer; it helps prevent HPV, the virus linked to 70% of cervical cancers). As well, if you search the many articles written by Dr. Diane Harper, it is noted that the protection offered may not be for more than 5 years, which is before a still significant number of women truly need the protection. I do encourage everyone to read her articles as Dr. Harper is the expert in this. All I know if that when one of the lead investigators who developed this vaccine (Gardasil) recommends that I should not vaccinate my daughter as there are significant risks for those with pre-existing neuropathies, that is enough for me. Sincerely, Lise Lise Mercier, Ph.D., C. Psych. Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
