Guest guest Posted January 10, 2010 Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 Hi , The results of your EMG/NCV will indicate in general what type of CMT you have (like CMT 1, CMT 2, CMT X) Only the genetic (DNA/blood) test can determine the subtype (like CMT 1A or CMT 2B or CMT X5) I think there are about 20 'subtypes' that can be tested for currently.
