Guest guest
Hello All - I think maybe it's time to move on from this group. I thought that part of this forum was to be able to voice your opinion about how you deal with CMT in your life, or in the lives of those you care for, without fear of being criticized, demeaned or to suffer from character assassination. It is simply astounding to me that the same folks constantly interfere in conversations that they know nothing about since they are not parents. They call us names like hovering, overprotective, interfering, helicopters, etc. and they are permitted to continue to post. Bully for them that their parents left them to toughen up on their own and swing in the wind with whatever came their way! If it worked for them and they grew up with no permanent battle scars - congratulations! But based on the constant argumentative and demeaning postings, I would say that they are indeed bitter and permanently scarred - they just don't know how to deal with it. Probably, because their parents never took the time to show their love and concern for their struggles. Will my kid make friends? I'm sure he will. But shouldn't I feel safe enough on this website to talk about it without being called names and being accused of being over protective. Where else can parents go to discuss this with other parents who understand????? Maybe it's time to start a new forum. Maybe we need to group together to discuss the parenting issues and pursue the things we need to do to effect change in our schools. All I know is that I'm tired and weary and frustrated for my child and frustrated for me for not knowing where else I can turn.
