Guest guest
Hi again everyone.......I guess I'm just pretty needy this week! I have another question for all of you. We were told that Jimmy, my 13 year old son with DS/PDD-POD, could possibly benefit from an SSRI inhibitor drug to help control his anxiety. Since I couldn't get it to see our developmental pediatrician until mid-September (!!!), I called our regular pediatrician to see if he could help with this.... He thought that he probably could, and prescribed zoloft (1/2 of a pill) once a day. He said that it should take several weeks before we would notice a difference. So, for all of you parents out there that have kids on meds, a couple of questions if you don't mind..... 1) Have SSRI inhibitors helped any of your kids? 2) If so, is zoloft the best med to use (from your experience). 3) If not zoloft, what is your kid taking? Any other suggestions?? Thanks so much to all of you knowledgeable parents out there!
