Guest guest
Sharon, that's a great letter. Your unselfish actions, on behalf of all of us, have earned our gratitude, and our love. But, don't give up hope for progress, in the present Democratic administration. I was inspired by our president's address to congress, last night. The entire tone of his efforts is a refreshing change from the close-mindedness of the previous administration. I have renewed hope, in spite of being a pessimist by nature, that our time has come. a's victory, in her lengthy battle for justice, is just the beginning of a new wave of social justice for all of us. The paradigm is changing. From the legal and medical persecution we have all suffered, of having to " prove " that we are sick, the new government healthcare initiatives will eventually put the insurance companies on the defensive, with their having to " pay up " or prove that we are NOT sick. We must all get behind the president's efforts for health care reform. If we want recognition and justice for OUR suffering, we must fight to extend that umbrella of human rights to cover all of those who are too weak to defend themselves against a system which, up to now, has been stacked in favor of preserving the profits of the medical and insurance establishments. Keep up the good fight! You are our BEST fighter. But, never lose faith in our ultimate victory.
