Guest guest
Stuff like that happens, farmers loose crops due to the weather, but it is rare. Everything is probably not ruined. Plants adapt. The only way that they are ruined is if they are torn from the ground. Ask you landlord if you can plant a garden, offer to share the bounty with him. The only drawback might be in the price of water for the garden. You mentioned a tree. Your veggies need 6 to 8 hours of sunlight a day. Lettuce, spinach, swiss chard can do with a little less. ew Re: healthy eating On 1/6/09, Thia .... <bipolyf@...> wrote: > > Melody~ Yes, I do think the Aero-garden is cool, and I also wanted one when > I first saw it. Guest guest
Try a deep sea fish oil for tendonitis or if you are a veggie try borage, flax or hemp oil... From: bhans2 <bhans2@...> Subject: Re: healthy eating Date: Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 12:27 AM Terry/Kathy H - Do you recall what type of herbs the Chinese doctor gave you for your tendonitis? Could you share this information? Thanks. Barb H > > > > Farm them out to China? > > Not with my good name on it! LOL. Have you seen the mass-produced > handwork from China? Guest guest
thanks Sparrow: When I walk into my supermarkets, and I see ALL THE FOOD that ithere in abundance, I realize that many other nations do not have it so fortunate. Maybe that's why the USA is the fattest country in the world. I watched The Biggest Loser on tv last night. We, we are really killing ourselves with all this obesity. I am SO glad I started doing the sprout thing. My husband went to see his chiropractor neurologist yesterday. My husband told him that I now sprout and we eat everything that we sprout. He was very proud of us. He's a big believer in this way of eating. It depends on how bad the storm is. For example, I've seen gardens ruined by summer hail storms and tornadoes when I lived in Kentucky. You'd better believe lots of gardens were destroyed in hurricane Katrina. In a pioneer setting, a crop-destroying storm can be the difference between life and death for a family that's just getting settled in an area and hasn't had a chance to build up long-term food stores yet. An early frost, a swarm of locusts, a gale-force wind -- these often spelled starvation for people. Nowadays, in western industrial nations, things are so interconnected that we only see the price of sugar go up a little or it becomes impossible to find oranges one winter but we don't face starvation because the crops failed. In many other parts of the world, people are not so fortunate. Sparrow
