Guest guest
Wow! I had no idea it could start working so quickly. I have been on milk thistle since Halloween. The biggest change I have noticed is that my skin coloring is better and my hair stopped falling out. I don't know if it's a result of the milk thistle, enzymes, probiotics, diet or what. It's probably a combo of all of it. My liver was defintely taxed from my leaky gut. How do you give it to your dd? Right now I'm giving enzymes in chocolate wafers that I make using Enjoy Life chocolate chips. I wonder if I could add a little bit of milk thistle to those, or perhaps make separate chocolates for the milk thistle. Does anyone make a chewable milk thistle, or is there a palatable way to give it to a 2-y-o and 5-y-o? (We avoid fruit, so applesauce is out.) Thanks for the info. Chris --- I use for liver health and it started working in two days (my dd BM's went form pale yellow looking to brownish looking). Guest guest
I like HerbPharm's Healthy Liver Tonic (drops). Contains milk thistle, oregon grape, fennel and one more item. Cannot detect when added to a little juice. > > > In a message dated 15/01/2008 13:02:45 GMT Standard Time, nmsabel@... > writes: > > I would like to add this in to my son's supplements. Guest guest
I give it to her throw her feeding tube, so I am not much help for ideas. I do give my older daughter enzymes and she likes it in juice, but you can't do juice. Along with Milk thistle, I also give her Taurine and Lypo gold enzymes. Seems to be helping. Sorry no much help for ideas. Leo

Guest guest
We have the drops from Vitamin Shoppe. 56 drops = 2000mg. I was thinking on giving 15 drops three times per day. Is that too much?  Dana > > How much Milk Thistle should be given for a child that weighs 34 pounds? Guest guest
If you need to you can go higher on milk thistle and some studies have shown it has an excellent effect on AST and ALT scores when given at high doses.
