Guest guest
The first meeting of the Santa Barbara, CA, CMT support group was off to a running start June 28 attended by representatives of four Southern California counties. Under very sunny skies (read here, 90 F hot!) but shaded by patio umbrellas, group members enjoyed a delicious healthy brunch while discussing everything from traveling, to successful surgeries, work/careers and personal stories. Denedria Banks joined the " brunch bunch " and shared about her new ventures in addition to speaking about her book and autographed copies. There was also discussion of having a CMT conference in Solvang in the future, spread out over 3 days to allow " face to face " socializing in addition to listening and interacting with world renown speakers. A great bonding took place, many photos and a short video were taken of the gathering. Phone numbers and emails were collected and will be sent so members can keep in touch between meetings. It was a wonderful afternoon, nice people, great food, no earthquakes or fires! The next meeting is for the Saturday August 8. We will meet inside (air-conditioning definitely required!) for a 1:00 pm lunch at the Alisal River Grill in Solvang. Anyone with CMT, their family, friends/partners/significant others are welcome. For info and directions, contact me. Gretchen
