Guest guest
Andy, I had gone to the my local dept of rehab and since I had a job, their goal was to provide me with equipment to keep me in my job. They did a lot of evaluations and ended up providing me with a $3500 scooter where the seat could raise up and down so I could reach office machines. They come to your office and observe the situation and then provide you with whatever it takes to keep you in your job, that is their goal to keep disabled people working. They were very efficient in knowing what to provide, even providing special pillows for my back and something to place on the floor so when I was at my computer, my legs would not tire as easily. Definately the way for you to go. Tell them your needs and they will teach you how to use whatever it is that is necessary for you to continue working. Unfortunately, after reading your posts, SSI would not be the way for you to go at this point in you and your daughters life. Jackie
