Guest guest
Andy: From what your last email said, I'm assuming you live in NJ? By any chance do you live in Northern, NJ? I use to live in lower NY state. I used to get my physical therapy at Helen Hospital in West Haverstraw. This hospital is a county rehab hospital. The PTs there are professional and work with you well. You can also go to Colombia Presbyterian hospital in NYC too. They specialize in neurology. My last doctor there was Dr. Kim. I worked in Teaneck, NJ 10 years ago at Jewish Family Service as a care manager, they take people with disabilities too as clients, not just the elderly. Yes, you would not qualify for SSI or SSD because of your income and your not willing to work shorter hours. Since you stated you are falling more often now you should look into getting a motor chair for work purposes. I remember when I started falling at work, I realized I needed to purchase one too. I suggest you look at the Hoveround or the Rascal site online. I know the Hoveround chair can be paid for by your insurance. I have a Hoveround so I can take care of my baby son.
