When are you moving, and to where?

Been so long I have forgotten! LOL

How is the Celiac going? Still giving the powder?

Glad your back with us and that your sabbatical helped.

Gail

We retire in just 2 months (about), end of March. HOWEVER, that may soon

change. We've got lead paint peeling in 's bedroom. I had been trying to

get someone out here (military housing) to do a full abatement (take it down to

bare wood and repaint, we go to a hotel while they do it). After a week, I

called them back. They told me there was a funding problem, and they hadn't

sent the order out. Then, when DH tries to settle everything, they tell him

that they told me that originally. Yea, with a baby and an autistic son who

still mouths everything, I said, " Oh whenever you get to it is find. " . . .NOT.

DH raised cane (practically raised the dead)and they finally agreed to send it

off, funding or not. Either that or they pay the EPA fine. Not only do we have

to worry about our kids education, we have to worry about the Navy causing my

well child to develop neurological damage from breathing lead paint dust. They

also suggested that we paint over the bad part until they can get to it in a

couple of weeks. DH gets his orders this week, so he may just wait until the 30

days before his departure date and ship us out. He can stay 30 days ofter we

leave. That would put me leaving in late February.

We're retiring (THANK YOU LORD) to Illinois (St. Louis area).

We stopped the powder, and just took him off the diet. He couldn't understand

why the foods that didn't hurt his stomach before now did. He can understand

that the foods that always hurt still do. His behavior evened out, and he's

back to about where he was before we started adding the gluten back in his diet,

except for a bit of impulsivity......like taking tampon cardboard out of the

trash can and lining them up on the counter....good thing we didn't have company

coming over. Gotta keep that sense of humor. He has an appointment on February

6th with the GI, to set the date for the biopsy.

Leaving is why I changed my email address with egroups. I have ICQmail, which

is international, so it won't change when I leave here. I still have the other

account, though.

Well, back to reading the rest of the digest. Oh, one more question you asked

was about the celiac group. They got a little too " what caused the autism "

instead of recipes. I dropped that one and took up another one that has fewer

autistic kids on it. I think I've gotten 3 emails from them.....very low

traffic, and only recipes. I'm happy. I can get on my own soap box

occasionally, so I understand, but I wanted that list for recipes and not

support....I got you guys, right?

I also decided that I cut back a bit too much on support. I did miss the list.

Loriann

Welcome back.

I read about your lead paint episode. Tell them that lead leaks through

old paint. Covering it with new paint will NOT help at all. It seeps

through. THe only way to correct the problem is to get everyone out, sand

and remove all paint, then re-paint, and have them test the paint after a

couple of weeks to make sure they removed all the lead. They should have

a gieger counter type of thing that reacts to lead. Yikes. What a mess!

Wife to Dwight,

So you retired already from your jobs, etc. I hope that you get all your

housing needs done soon. What part in Illionis?; I was born and lived

their. I think another person in this group said that they took their son

off a diet and the child didn't know why the foods tasted different. I hope

you take care with your family, etc. and that you have a good furture if

you don't ever re join the group.

Welcome home Bonnie. So happy to hear you had a good trip and made it back

safely. As R said, great testimony on your LL! That's just down right

exciting!!!! It's been very quiet onthe board. I'm sure it's cuz of summer

and all being so busy. Again, welcome home...

Welcome back Bonnie

Sounds like you had a great time and wonderful experience

What testimony in sharing about LL and keeping us updated

You should be so proud

Blessings

R

I'm back....

Hi All,

I'm back -- we drove to Venice, FL for vacation (7/2 to 7/11) -- had a really

great time (a wonderful visit with my mother, doggy beach for our four-legged

critters, lots of ocean time, etc., etc.) -- and now here we are, back at

work.....

Questions/Observations:

1. Eyesight: I noticed my eyesight (distance) has improved dramatically -- to

the point that I couldn't use my (prescription) sunglasses to drive! I can now

see in the distance perfectly well -- read road signs, license plates,

billboards, etc. -- I think I remember someone mentioning improved eyesight with

LL???? [my vision problems are age related -- i.e., muscle related, not

astigmatism, etc.] If this is due to LL, will my near-vision improve over time,

too? And will this continue? I had my eyes checked and new glasses made in

mid-May, one day after I started LL -- this is weird! (but GOOD!)

2. Exercising/breathing while on vacation: I didn't keep up as well as I

wanted, but I did find that I could do my LL breaths while standing in the ocean

(okay, gulf for you purists!) -- worked lots of leg movements into the breaths.

However, the standard exercises just didn't happen, always something interfering

-- maybe I'll get better with time! Now that I'm back home, I swung right back

into my typical routine....

3. Driving and LL: my husband and I both did approx. 5 LL breaths each time

one of us got even slightly " tired " while driving. We stayed really awake and

alert! And we drove a total of 2500 miles (round trip) -- didn't have to pull

over to rest, just stopped for driver exchange/bathroom breaks/eating/hotel....

4. Headaches: While in FL both my husband and I typically get dull headaches

(increased humidity? my mother's antagonism to air conditioning?) -- anyway, we

found that a few breaths tended to clear our heads fairly well -- not a

long-term relief, but one that we could repeat as necessary!

One of the LL exercises that I didn't do over our vacation was the chair one

(lifting the rear as far as you can from a sitting position -- targets the

knees) -- I was really glad to do it this morning, my knees feel a lot better

already. Part of the knee problem could well have been from sitting and driving

for so long (I didn't notice it while in FL and in the water so much), but it

cleared up quite fast with the LL exercise!

I had 395 unread messages this morning, many of them from this group -- looks

like everyone is doing well!

Hi again Bonnie,

I just love reading the great benefits you are noticing from the Night Magic. I

use it most of the time, but when I was not feeling well after one of my last

trips I noticed my skin on my face needed a pick me up so I did the Face Lift

Kit and then put the Night Magic on my face and actually wrapped my chin and

neck area with the plastic wrap and wow, was I impressed with how quickly I

could see my face come back to life.

I have often noticed the benefit you mention of using the Night Magic on an

uncomfortable, bloated belly. It helps better than any medication for bloating

as long as you are sure to drink plenty of water while using it.

Thanks again for always sharing your great results You inspire all of

us...especially me.

I am glad you had so much fun. I love Colorado. It is so beautiful there...even

though what you say is true,,,the weather can be odd. I really love the people

there too.We have a lot of very devoted LifeLifters there...I am sure if any of

them heard you doing your LifeLift breaths they are smiling...

Take good care,

Rashelle

I'm back....

And I managed to do my LL exercising/breathing throughout our vacation -- only

problem was I kept hyperventilating (I think it was the altitude! we went to

Colorado) and had to break my normal routine into smaller chunks.

Did a lot of LL breaths while driving -- both my husband and I do it quite

regularly -- one of us will start it and the other joins right in -- so we huff

and puff (well, maybe huff and pah!) our way down the road.....

I brought the Night Magic with me -- didn't use it the first couple of nights

(it gets pretty tangled when staying at other people's homes) -- my husband

actually noticed and suggested that I should use it! apparently he could see

some " belly bloat " from not using it! So I made a point of using it from then on

-- I love this stuff! And I haven't had any stomach cramping since I started

using it -- this stuff really, really works! Thanks, Rashelle!!!!

Kept my weight down to where I want it -- this was something I was worried

about -- irregular eating, foods prepared differently than what I'm used to

(lots of ice cream, cake, chips, and beer was to be had!), and no scale to check

myself on -- but I was super-careful and came through just fine....

We had a good time in Colorado -- spent a lot of time with my in-laws (my

father-in-law is 96 years old, my mother-in-law is 90 -- and they celebrated

their 66th wedding anniversary on May 29!) -- but it was wet, cold, and

definitely-not-summery! It actually got down to 43 one night -- brrrrrrr. I

think I am used to the hot, humid heat here in Austin -- felt good to bask in

the 90+ heat yesterday!

Read a post from Rashelle -- she mentioned an eye cream -- does anyone use

this? Let me know all about it, I really need something to reduce the bags under

my eyes!

Hi Lynne,

Nice to meet you and congratulations to Margie! I pray to be able to say "cure" some day very soon. My 8 month old son, (DS) has AML. He has had one chemo treatment and one infection. He comes home today from the hospital after the fever admit. He goes back in this coming Friday for Chemo again. Does not seem like we have a chance to rest as I am going through Breast cancer myself. I just had my 4th treatment yesterday. 4 more to go!

Cure...such a beautiful word. A big hug to Margie for all of her hope, strength and bravery!!

I haven't posted in a while. I just wanted to tell everyone that Margie reached her "cure" date on Nov. 28, 2005. I had her back to oncology last week. She goes to pass out with her monthly cycle. It is her blood pressure...ok, we can handle that. She just needs more fluid intake. She still has a horrible looking skin rash that came during tx and never got better. They say it is her hair follicles. She needs her pacemaker changed this year. We are working on seeing if they will pull her port at the same time. Yup, original medi-port from 6/2/1998. She has finally started to stay somewhat healthy and all the docs think it can come out now. Well, the surgeon who put it in is still questioning if we should leave it being it has been the only line they could keep open on her in the past when she got so terribly sick. Knock wood she hasn't had any serious infections since we almost lost her back on 2/14/03. I must admit a part of me will be very glad to see it go and another part is afraid to take it out. Camp Sunshine is having a mini DS weekend in the beginning of March. I am hoping to be able to go with Margie. I hope some of you will be there. Lynne

Hi , I hope you and are handleing the chemo without too many side effects. I will keep you in my prayers. "Cure" is a word that seemed like we would never hear and now it has finally come. I hope you will find yourself writing "cure x 2" very soon. Stay strong and hug your "little man' for me. Lynne Bluyz1966@... wrote: Hi Lynne, Nice to meet you and congratulations to Margie! Marla .. and the rest of the group.

I understand what you're talking about. My slip up started with pancakes. I

thought they were harmless and didn't really pay attention to the ingredients.

I got all messed up too . . . again. So, I went back to the natural food store

and bought my Pau d'arco tea, started drinking water again, and threw out all

the stuff that makes pancakes. I also bought a great cookbook that has 150

great candida free recipies. Weston A. Price is in it as well, so I was

excited.

So fear not. You're not the only one who got entranced by . . . other foods.

M.H.

Dear Marla,

I am new on the diet (did I milder version three yrs ago that did

not work).

Adapting to the diet is not too difficult I think. It is the

horrendous sweet cravings after lunch and dinner that are the

problem! Aargh! However I believe dealing with the cravings for a

minimal time far outweighs the alternative of the rest of one's life

in pain and misery feeding the Candida. Just got to bite the bullet

and look at what you will have at the end of it all...a much happier

body. Yay! Bring on the happy days...

kind regards

Thanks ,

I've decided that this go round, I'm going to add in everything that needs

adding in *before* I remove the stuff that needs removing. I think this

will:

1 - give me time to " say goodbye " to the chocolate and potatoes (again!). I

think everything else is just about gone, or won't bother me too much to get

rid of. Oh wait, it will bother me greatly to get rid of fruits, so I'll

have to deal with that too.

2 - I'll have the coconut oil and healthy eating habits (read: menus

prepared, groceries bought) already in place so that when I do finally say

goodbye to those foods, I'll have something else to reach for.

Today I've already started with a full batch of electrolyte drink made.

I've already got the Chlorophyll & vit C powder to put in. I'll be filling

my vitamin containers again, and I already have almost everything I need. I

ran out of a couple of things.

I'll also be increasing my coconut oil again. This is hard for me. I know

how to get it done; I've done it before. But I've never enjoyed it! I melt

it into herbal tea and slug it down!

Cheers!

Marla

I've been away for quite some time.... but you will be happy to hear that I have

been able to move out of the mold after almost 14 years of living at my old

place.

Thing's got very hectic but my daughter and I are finally settled.

I feel like I've missed a lot not being able to have my computer for the past 2

months but just happy to be out of the mold and back on-line.

As far as my disability, I'm still in that fight but I pretty much know I'll be

denied since CA and SS are pretty much bankrupt. I've already lost some of my

financial and health benifits, thanks to Arnold S. but still thankful to be out

of the mold!!!
