Guest guest
LOL! LOL! When I joined this list, I was looking for lots of information about autism and advocacy, I didn't realize it was also for entertainment and the humor that only we can appreciate. Guest guest
Hey Lenny - are there any more at home like you? (single brothers?) lolSubject: Re: Socialism and MedicineTo: EOHarm Date: Friday, November 21, 2008, 5:05 PM I am frightened by the health care/pharma industry's control over the politics of government, to then put the government in charge of health care. While I would not expect some utopia free market solution to health care (and neither does the author), I do fear socialized medicine run by the government turning into medical fascism - a glimpse of what we now experience with recommended (read: mandated) vaccines and public health care agencies. Single payer system would rule out alternative treatments for autism, leaving ABA and risperdal as the only options for our children. And unless I am mistaken, there is nothing in the constitution, or in common law, that obligates any employer to pay for the health care of its workers. I am against socialism for corporations, too. If I were king of the world, I would let the investment firms, the auto industry fail if fail they must, rather than reward their failures with bailouts. I would then abdicate the throne. Guest guest
Fortunately, I am the remaining single brother in my family. My two brothers are happily married (but not to each other, this being California. But maybe someday when the state supreme court grants us our equal rights, I'll marry my two brothers and their wives - if my sister doesn't marry them first.) Guest guest
Well, this goes to show you how autism can drive people to all levels of desperation. > > Lenny, > > Do you realize that all the single women on this list are going to start > flirting with you! > > I can see the word will be out....maybe even on Autism People Magazine - > Hottest Bachelors in the Autism Community. Guest guest
So much for the autism community being "divisive/divided." hahaSubject: Re: Lenny Socialism and MedicineTo: EOHarm Date: Saturday, November 22, 2008, 12:33 AM Well, this goes to show you how autism can drive people to all levels of desperation. > > Lenny, > > Do you realize that all the single women on this list are going to start > flirting with you! > > I can see the word will be out....maybe even on Autism People Magazine - > Hottest Bachelors in the Autism Community.
