Thanks for the link. I always find it interesting the things that we

do for our pets before our kids. It was illegal to beat your dog

before it was illegal to beat your child. The first case of child

abuse was actually prosecuted under the law against abuse of animals.

I also learned at one of the first Autism Conferences that I attended

that thimerosal was removed from vaccines in the vetinary industry

before it was suggested to remove it from vaccines for humans.

However, I still request " thimerosal free " vaccines each time I take

my son's service dog in for his annual vaccines (I probably wouldn't

even give him most of them except that they are required to maintain

his certification for service). When I first began doing this, the

vet wasn't even sure at first what I was asking for because they

hadn't heard of thimerosal. I asked for the list of ingredients for

each vaccine. I was only slightly surprised that there was in fact on

vaccine that the vetinarian was going to give that contained

thimerosal and that had to be special ordered in an individual vial

for our animal to have thimerosal free. I guess even the vetinarian

industry has begun reintroducing thimerosal into their vaccines.

Hey - thanks for reminding me. I was in WF the other day and a headline on a magazine (something Feline) caught my eye. Over-vaccinating your cat. I remarked to the cashier who said that the cat looked like her own, that they still allow the over-vaccination of humans yet they are more concerned about someone's cat being over-vaccinated. As much as she was a cat lover, she had to agree and I laid out the story of my son (in five minutes while a bunch of people behind me listened ----- patiently, I might add).RoxSubject: OT: Study: Health and vaccines in dogs! To:

damage, much similar to humans. I thought it was interesting.

I never will understand the insanity. Do they only want to save their

own? Some can't grasp the truth.... and money but.....Do any of

the " critical thinkers - pharma " care if a time comes will come when

when they won't be able to. Has to be more than thier bottom dollar. OR

I'm hanging on to " It's a Wonderful Life " dream.

I thought thimerosal was removed from all the pet vaccines (silly me for believing this.) We too have a service dog (skilled companion) for our son. Do you remember which specific vaccine contained thimerosal? I too hate giving her the shots. The "head" vet (it's her practice) has a nephew with autism. When I started talking to her about my son's vaccine damage and biomedical, she gave me the "interesting" response which to me usually means they don't believe it.

I'll call the vets office this week to see which one it is that they

have to special order for me. I don't recall and it doesn't say on my

paperwork. Even so, I make them check every vial every time we have

to give him anything. They got an earful from me the first time about

how the reason we have Apollo is because my son was vaccine injured

and poisoned by the thimerosal in his vaccines, so there was no way I

was going to allow the same thing to happen to his service dog or

anybody else in our family again.

Years ago... my ex and I raised 4 litters of weimaraner puppies...at least 5 reports came back that their weims reacted to the vaccines.. getting deathly sick.. with dehydration, high fevers.. lethargy and at least 2 died. It costs the owners a tremendous amount of heartache and money. We didn't make the connection then.. but now... what else could it have been... Lia

Re: Re: OT: Study: Health and vaccines in dogs!

thanks for your comments! I agree that when it comes to our pets many vets are admitting that vaccines are causing damage to their immune system, and that is far from the truth for our kids. For our new puppy, we're following the vax recommendations for pets from Dr. Loops web-site. www.charlesloopsdvm.com Our puppy had his first vax after 3 months old and now the second at 5 months because we needed it for doggy training. We checked the vaccines he had so far and no mercury was listed. It amazes me that our pets get better care than our kids do. In a way, I'm happy for our puppy but I wish it would apply for my kid as well. Anyway, I'm glad we stopped vaxing my son at 16 months of age. After many treatments and thousands of $$$ later he is finaly coming around. Leigh

My husband and I had a huge laugh last year when our black lab who was

around 8mos at the time was having something growing on his skin.

Husband came home from the vet who told him he had yeast overgrowth.

So we had the pleasure of treating my 2 ASD kids and our lab w/

antifungals. Doc also told us to switch him to a grain-free diet.

What could we do but laugh...we are doing biomed on our ASD kids and

probably saved our puppy from regressing in health and developing some

neurological disorder. There was a reason he was placed w/ our family:)
