As the mother of the Cowichan Bay woman who died from this fungus, I need to say

thank you for your coverage of the possible effect of this terrible illness.

It's most important that it be brought to public's attention.

hadn't been near the forest in a couple of years due to her busy life.

She became seriously ill maybe a month or more before being admitted to

hospital, and every visit to emergency prior got her a round-trip home with

painkillers.

So one must fight the health care system if they suspect for a moment they have

the fungus.

The health care system insists it's too hard to diagnose. All that's needed is a

sample of spinal fluid to go to Vancouver. Can't be done here! Why not?
