My son got cold sores when I started serious yeast tx, mb12 and chelation. I

think it was virus kicked up, not sure. I put a little straight vit E oil on

the spot couple of times a day for a few days and they were gone.I think vit E

has soy, so don't know if that is ok for you? I would double probiotic for all

of you guys and fill that empty gut with good bugs!Alison M

So we have been an infirmary in our house, first almost 2 weeks with

a nasty nasty stomach bug...some fevers here and there without

any 'real' symptoms for Ethan, then this last week, we have all had a

nasty head cold/cough...low fevers...

Now, for the first time ever, Ethan has 2 icky cold sores on his lips

(he had high herpes titers when tested earlier this year), and he

appears to be over the worst of the cold, onto just plain runny nose

really....so I was wondering if the appearance of the cold sores are

a 'good' sign???That things are leaving his body?

Ideas? Am I on the wrong track? WE havent done much yet with anti-

virals, I was going to start more after we got thru the stomach bug,

then this all HIT all of us HARD...argh! I cant even imagine if we

werent eating right, no chemiclas/preserv's GFCFSF/organic/etc..and

if we had not been taking good vitamins/supplements..what would we

have felt like then, probably dead! LOL!

Is this normal? Anything to help rid the sores before he picks

them...are they contagious? I think I am going to try lysine with

extra vitamin C (along with his normal B's)....any other suggestions?

Thanks!

If you crush up Lysine - add a little coconut oil and make it into

a paste to dab on the cold sores - will help them clear up. Like do

this around bedtime.

They are only spread if you touch them and then touch your face,

eyes, lips. So wash your hands well.

Coconut oil has antiviral, antifungal properties - and its a great

for moisturizing. You could offer your son by putting it on toast,

hot cereals. My son eats it right from the spoon.

Coconut oil can be found in healthfood stores.

Thanks to everyone!

I am totally going to double up on my probiotics...and add the

lysine....great tip about the coconut oil! We have some on hand, so i

am of to do that right now!

About the lysine, other than mixing with the coco oil, anyone know

the doseage for taking it orally? Ethan is 5 yrs old and 46lbs....

Thanks to everyone, sorry that I cant answer individually, now that

the kiddos are all feeling a bit better, they are going stir crazy

and driving eachother (and Mom) NUTS! LOL! However, I would take

hyper 'well' kids than lethargic sleepy kids anyday!

THANKS AGAIN!

Olive Leaf Extract kills the virus that causes herpes in the body. It

also kills Guillan Barre, and shingles virus....get a bottle of

organic liquid and follow directions on bottle for a month or so...

L Lysine up to 3, 000 mg for an adult weighing 150 lbs, so divide the

dose.

melissa extract dries them up - products are at health foood stores,

avoid corn, chocolate

avoid auto innoculating...

dont touch them & tehn touch eye nose or genitals..dont bite

fingernaisl & open a cuticle - herpetic whitlow is herpes onte h

finger, dont wet contacts w/ saliva EVER if you get the sores

because youcan shed virus at any time w/o the blisters being present

1:4 get it orally

1:6 get genital herpes
