Guest guest
I hate to say it, but while you're there... if I were you and I'm not and I don't know your future MIL, but I wouldn't make soap for fear that anything that did happen, whether soap related or not, would be blamed on the soap maker. Hopefully temporarily won't last too long. Just my thoughts... Ellen linoleum thanks to all for your help on my previous questions! Here is yet another. I'm temporarily moving into my fiancee's mother's house, and she is concerned that in my soapmaking efforts, some lye might damage her nice kitchen linoleum. I am aware that lye acts on wood, aluminum, and iron. What about linoleum and formica?
Guest guest
It will pit the lino if you spill it on the floor. Put down a drop cloth that you can just roll up of do the lye thing in another area. Chris linoleum > thanks to all for your help on my previous questions! Here is yet another. Guest guest
Mix it outdoors and you won't have to worry about hurting her floors. It's safer for your lungs anyway by doing it outside if you can. Jenn in Oregon linoleum she is concerned that in my soapmaking efforts, some lye might damage her nice kitchen linoleum. Guest guest
I am very sensitive to chemicals and mold. As much as I wanted to tile my new bathroom floors years ago, I was afraid of the grout getting moldy. So, I had the floors covered with vinyl. After the glue dried, they did not bother me. I did however, have the company come with samples so I could smell them and pick one that I did not react to. D > > I found a mobile home for rent and it's also for sale. It is owned by an MCSr, she says it would be safe for me. The flooring is 2-3 yrs old, linoleum. Has anyone done well with linoleum? Does anyone's joints hurt walking on ceramic tile floors & concrete outside but no problem living in a house where the flooring is all linoleum? > > Appreciate your guidance. > > ...........Corky >
