Guest guest
The whole point of sharing this is the fact that by canning your vegetables you can make them exceptionally nutritious by adding a couple of safe and healthy things to keep the enzymes alive. You don't have to use kimchee. The gray sea salt should do the trick and you don't even have to make sauerkraut either. How about? Amazing! Guest guest
The problem with " real " kimchee is that it can make your eyes water from the spices. I was in the PI, living in the NCO barracks. ROK troops lived there as well, and would get care packages; my mom sent chocolate-chip cookies, their moms sent kimchee. When they opened the crocks, the smell would waft through the area and cause us round-eyes to leave. Translations: PI = Philippine Islands NCO = Non-commissioned officer, ie., sergeants ROK = Republic of Korea round-eye = Caucasian.
