Guest guest
Hi I'm Greek and was curious recently about autism rates in Greece also and I read (I don't recall where) that there are 40,000 cases of autism among children in Greece - what is the current total population there now about 8 mill people ? I don't think there is enough research there, I heard about a family that recently came from there to live in NJ in order to get see a DAN doctor and get other therapies for their child. It sad to see that these rates are going up all over, it will only get worse if something doesn't change, vaccines, pollution controls etc.
Guest guest
Lia, My cousin is a doctor in Greece (although not a pediatrician). He had sent me their vaccine schedule (which I have just spent 20 minutes looking for)...and it does include the flu (grippe) shot at 6 months. Their schedule even includes the HPV at age 12 for girls. The unpredictable factor is that each pediatrician does their own thing. Some follow the schedule, some do things when they get to it. So inconsistency is a factor. My mom just moved back stateside, but told me that she was seeing more and more affected kids. I don't know the rates. Guest guest
hi.. yes.. I read jenny's book and Elias story... I was in tears on the plane. A young woman asked me if I was ok.. then she saw the book in my lap.. I started from the begining.. explaining all that I know and about my son... I warned her if she was to have children... to read and research... and to be a pre warrior mom for the future children of our world. I feel that the unborn are vunerable targets even before they are thought of.. and we have to protect them... I talked to her for the entire 1.5 trip from atlanta to baltimore... she wished me luck. and the worster area of Mass is heavily populated with Greeks... Gage.. the author of ELENI.. settled there when he came to this country... his dad was already there. thanks..
