Hi Phil,

I tried to post a comment, but I forgot my user password. I wanted to say, I liked what you said about people judging us and our parenting. I wanted to tell you that for 2 years we have been participating in behavioral therapy. I really have learned how to be a better parent,( even to my typical child,) because of it. Now I am confident that I can handle almost any situation, and I do. I have learned so much, that I pity people that don't get it. I know they don't follow up like they should and they don't know how to use reinforcers. I'm just saying, that I see parents of NT children, and I see where they could do better. Namely my own brothers and sisters with their kids. They tend to be very condescending and judgmental about my parenting- again because I don't spank my children every time something goes wrong. All in all, after the mourning and adjusting, I am proud to be Eddie's mommy and I make sure everyone knows that his Autism is a direct result of vaccine injury. Then they really think I'm out there. I have never been at a loss for confidence. Never arrogant just sure of my feelings. I could go on and on. I am having issues with our kinder teacher that has never had an Autistic child in her classroom. At progress report time, she stated that Eddie walked into kinder knowing the whole curriculum. Now, at the end of the first quarter, he is barely passing and she suggest intervention. Eddie has a behavioral specialist and an aide. I wonder if the intervention is for her or for Eddie. Eddie has made remarkable progress socially and with writing and everything. The teacher has no idea of his strides and wants him out of her classroom. She stated on the report card that Eddie tantrums,cries and whines. I have never heard Eddie whine. It is either a full blown meltdown or he is good. Attached is his photo..
