Surely not Dr. Offit?

“There are likely multiple causes of the autism spectrum of disorders. Most scientists agree that today’s research will show that a person’s genetic profile may make them more or less susceptible to ASDs as a result of any number of factors such as infections, the physical environment, chemical exposures, or psychosocial components.â€

Any guesses?

It wasn’t me, though it sounds like something I have been saying for quite some time.

Gotta be Offit, it seems too much of a smack in the face for it not to

be. Gerberding is my second guess.

But wait, maybe it isn't the enemy? Maybe its someone that wants to

help us and someone that may have some authority next administration?

Oh , you are such a tease.

My guess is that it wasn't Gerberding herself, but one of her lackeys at the CDC.  This Minnesota/Somali mess is not going away and so they are probably trying to appease as many people as possible.“There are likely multiple causes of the autism spectrum of disorders. Most scientists agree that today’s research will show that a person’s genetic profile may make them more or less susceptible to ASDs as a result of any number of factors such as infections, the physical environment, chemical exposures, or psychosocial components.” Any guesses? It wasn’t me, though it sounds like something I have been saying for quite some time. DK

I was just trying to imagine what " psychosocial " component might be

horrific enough to actually make a child withdraw into a permanent

shell. It would have to be bad beyond belief. The usual fridge mom

psychosocial theories are ridiculous when held up to actual reality. My

husband's mother described seeing so many slums in South America where

many children essentially raise themselves or are raised on the streets

by siblings working as prostitutes, etc. Terrible neglect, violence,

and all that. But no autism until charity and health organizations got

in there with the shots.
