Natural immunity is thought to give almost life long protection. The children here seem to have lost their “immunity” in three years. The state recommends a booster vaccine after 5 years. As an adult we are likely to get hepatitis, we are likely to get pneumonia, we are likely to die from this children’s irritating complaint. Were these vaccinated children actually lucky to get the real illness while still children. It seems likely they should be thanking this late to be vaccinated child. If they got this illness as adults they might have died as young adults and who would get the blame? That pesky person who wasn’t vaccinated? But hang on, infection here was not from a natural outbreak but a deliberate innoculation of the illness into some person in some kind of deliberate biological warfare programme that went wrong. What’s to blame? The vaccine that didn’t work or that pesky child that didn’t get his vaccine on time while a tiny tot? Rather reminds me of the King’s New Clothes that was so fine and so intricate it was almost as if you didn’t have any clothes on at all. But no! That’s just a fairy story and the King would at worst have been shown as silly, embarrassed but not phyically harmed. The real Vaccine Story may be different. Getting a child’s harmless illness in young adulthood is not a fairy story, not an embarrassment just another potetnially lethal illness you thought you had protected youself from. You escaped death by injection as a child. You had the right to expect to be disease free but here you are with several vaccinations but now wracked by hepatitis, pneumonia and dying. What price your 69 vaccines, your asthma, your late development and now dying to be 20 but dying at 19. Will you escape death by vaccine preventable illness as an adult? The vaccine came out for use in 1994, not 1974. What makes me mad is

how I am hearing and reading about more late teens and 20 somethings

with pox thanks to this vaccine.This vaccine like all vaccines for

childhood diseases was a bad idea.

And this is for a virus where "immunity" consists of the immune system learning how to keep it suppressed.. It isn't doing a good job of that, perhaps the vaccine-induced infection was just too damn quick for the immune system to really learn how to do this? Perhaps we should just get rid of the adjuvant all together - oh right, that would basically be infection with the (perhaps slightly attenuated) bug anyway. A worser scenario might be that the vaccine bug has mutated back into a wild form.. Again, nature abhors a vacuum.. Even when presented with clear evidence that their vaccines don't work, the Offit's of the world still do nothing - to improve vaccination (the scdedule) or to improve the vaccines themselves. But that would take money.. A lot of it and about 10-20 years at least for the immunologists to figure out what we haven't figured out about the immune system yet..Jim

I wonder how that happened. With my own kids, I was lucky, they all caught chicken pox from someone at school. We had one miserable Christmas, but all four of our sons managed to catch and get over the chicken pox within that same holiday period. I am glad that they had the chicken pox naturally, as I have no intention to promote any of the current vaccines for them.
