Vaccine Safety Evaluation Workshop USA 2007 The evaluation of vaccine safety had all the usual advocates and manufacturers of vaccines present but was sadly lacking in a balancing number of those who had doubts or problems. The tendency of the committees responsible was to throw up all sorts of ideas for surveillance and remind everyone of the incredible speed at which problems had in the past been seen and solved. Theoretically, everything seems to be in order but the participants do seem to be subject to the swollen head syndrome not the type cause by fever and anaphylaxis but from an inflated idea that all is well and in their hands we will be safe. They explain how a very rare event will be picked up in a matter of less than one month but sadly do not explain how you pick up a problem that maybe takes a year or more to materialise after an adverse reaction to a vaccine. So while they do have concerns about GBS, meningitis, fevers and twisted insides in little babies after vaccines they seem to ignore the fact that USA children are one in three with long term health problems which everyone else screams is vaccine connected. For them they rest behind phrases like: “The United States has the safest most effective vaccine supply in history” The facts about the true health of the children of USA as in their own data banks was significantly absent. Two thirds of all new vaccines are developed in USA. Are two thirds of the health problems also down to the same vaccine developers? We are told of 18 or more new vaccines developed since 1980 but not of the huge increases in childhood illness, asthma, cancer, eczema, autism, developmental delays as well as AIDS, AD and diabetes. Even when trouble strikes the vaccine industry there is an optimistic note: We met weekly with the CDC and the FDA they claim. Great! So, where is the epidemiology of the rise in autism and the cause by vaccines over used and the continued use of thimerosal? Well the story goes like this: Speaker after speaker went throught the surveillance system: 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the vaccine. So do you find the association of autism arising 2 years after the first vaccines? Answer: You can’t, won’t or ever will. We just get 12 million sick kids and the sick response its not vaccines. When a child gets autism in the womb or autism at birth we might just see the connection but wait until they talk or don’t talk and the link even to the last injection of MMR at 18 months gets lost buried or simply denied. However as Kirby reminds us, the rate of autism in the military is double the pandemic rate for the genral public and this with the multi vaccination of the troops does even ring some bells with military medics. But will it ring bells with other medics? Don’t hold your breath. The good lady from the military is making the best miliary withdrawal ever seen in the history of USA battles. Looks like the 12 million might become the background level on which to judge future vaccines? The 19 th vaccine only gives 11 million autism cases so it fine. The 20th only gives 10 million autism cases, even better. Wow the end of autism is in sight. We just need another ten vaccines in our schedule. I did notice Mads Melbye go through the Danish system. Wow! Now here was some good news. The Danes give you 3 vaccines spread from 4 months or so through to 5 years. Wow! That’s almost one vaccine every two years. They also have the best system of surveillance, publically and freely available to ALL researchers. And autism? What autism? The rates there are TEN times less than in the USA. Strange but true!
