Mamet, the playwrite (of the really, really old and overdone

play) said that now Piven could " find work as a thermometer " .

People who know him in New York (Mamet) call him " the gangster " . Nice

guy, obviously. When he finds time aside from mocking the excelerated

extinction of the species through mass poisoning, I wonder when he'll

write another play or screenplay with an excuse to hit a woman in it?

As his writing progressed over the years, the finer and more

interesting points in plot and issues of justice seemed to start

disappearing and the scripts focused more and more on the moments

leading up to the batting around of some duplicitous female character.

His next play will just be called " Smack " . Or maybe his twisted fury

will be channeled at actors who quit his plays for health reasons and

he'll focus on plot devices which lead inexorably to the punching of

thespians in hospital gowns with DMSA IV bags.
