Guest guest
Good find, Joe. I keep telling everyone that Lamisil (antifungal) is the only thing that has helped me. If you have a prescription, you can get Lamisil for $4 at Walmart (under the generic name Terbinafine). ________________________________ From: Joe Salowitz <josephsalowitz@...> < > Sent: Tue, October 27, 2009 1:58:54 AM Subject: [] They Are Getting Closer To The Truth This medical journal article, just published, comes closest to the recognition of the truth that we have all known for years. Guest guest
sounds like the only ones that well get antifungals are the ones who show IgE's to mold. that's not going to help the ones who dont. in other words, maybe the reactive airway that comes from chemical exposures/toxins,voc's ect. it is good that they might actually start treating what they consider allergic reactions by antifungals, might help, but that doesn't cover everybody that has reactive airways from toxin exposure damage. does it? couldn't get the full article so maybe thats addressed in there.? > This medical journal article, just published, comes closest to the recognition of the truth that we have all known for years. Guest guest
Jeanine, You are correct. One of the parameters for inclusion in this scientific study, was having an elevated IgE number. Many people, such as myself, have BOTH a toxic reaction to mold, AND an allergic/asthmatic reaction to mold. I am sure that my IgE was elevated during my initial mold exposure, 14 years ago, before I joined this group. The way I realized that something was different, then, during that massive mold exposure, was that my asthma relief inhaler, Proventil (albuterol), only reduced my breathing difficulty by 20 percent, and not the usual 100 percent. Also, my breathing improved, when I spent a day out of my office (the source of the mold), even if I spent a day in a high-pollen area, which would normally GIVE me asthma problems. I am emailing you, as an attachment, the complete article of this study. I am also sending it to . If ANYONE ELSE wants the complete article, as a PDF file, just email me directly: josephsalowitz@... Put in the subject line of your email: " Requesting Article " , so that I don't delete your email as spam. As far as the problem of getting the medical profession to focus their attention on people who do NOT have an elevated IgE number, that is something that we will all have to try to figure out. There is a joke that goes: A farmer is having trouble getting his mule to move. A second farmer, passing by, asks " would you like me to help you get your mule to move? " The first farmer says yes. So the second farmer walks to the front of the mule, and PUNCHES the mule right between the eyes. The first farmer asks: " why did you do that? " The second farmer replies: " FIRST, you have to get his attention. " We have ALL got to figure out how to " punch them between the eyes. Guest guest
I have both too Joe, so it's all kindof hard to understand, I wonder if the whole allergy,IgE, thing is a result of being colonized, negitive, of not being colonized. after all what is really a allergy? you get a allergy to something because of a high exposure to it, so you immune system is reacting. if mycotoxins evade the immune system you dont react, dont show IgE to those toxins, but there are some other toxins, chemicals you can have a IgE reaction too, allergy. I coughed up about a gallon of all colors of molds and mucus out of my lungs after my exposure, it helped me gain some lung compasity back but still years later I sometimes cough and still have some of these little round white balls come out of my lungs. colonized or sespectable to recolonization because of lung damage and poor immune system. a doctor told me the other day that I had no signs of fungal infection and fungal infections kill people really fast so theres just no way I had a fungal infection. I said yep, if I didn't have a immune system left I'd be dead. I said I thought it was very possable that a body with a immune system could fight a fungal infection for years, another bad exposure and it might be to much. so to me, a " allergy " is just really a reactive immune system attack to rid the body of exposures to things the immune system reaconizes. think goddness for that, I dont think it takes a high amount of mycotoxins and voc's to do some serious damage to our airways, cells and organs and I believe that MCS really is a hyper reaction because of the damage and the organs affected are the reactive organs, which can be the whole body. stomack,gi tract, bowels, brain, sinuses, eyes, ears, ect. " allergies " and MCS, to different things, to different reactions. and I really believe that mycotoxins are the silent killers.
