Guest guest
Hi All, I am new to this group, but find the posts fascinating. Having a child who is highly toxic for 7 metals, and moderate for another half dozen, I am looking at environmental sources to create a safer environment for him at home and away from home. I noticed his Leapster carry case, which until recently went with him everywhere, has very high levels of lead. www.healthytoys.org My first tactic will be to return the carry case to Target, second to write a letter to Leapster, and then 3rd send this to other consumers. I would like to know if anyone has experience with the pathway to having toys recalled, and what agency(ies) are responsible for doing so. I find it appalling that we allow these types of unsafe products for children to be sold, but considering all other toxic products that we buy I should not be too surprised. Thanks for any input,
Guest guest
It's the Consumer Product safety Commission that's (ir)responsible. Check out this video from the Sierra Club: (http://www.sierraclub.org/healthycommunities/lead/) And more: (http://www.sierraclubgreenhome.com/go-green/children-and-babies/safe-toys-for-c\ hildren/) Jackie > > Hi All, > I am new to this group, but find the posts fascinating. > Having a child who is highly toxic for 7 metals, and moderate for > another half dozen, I am looking at environmental sources to create > a safer environment for him at home and away from home.
