Guest guest
I know why you went: Because you CAN! Pain is nothing compared to the great feeling of coping with something hard (even for non-CMTers). Congratulations! I went to a schooltrip like that (20 years ago...), and after a rainy cold week on the river, I became " the bravest girl in school " , even got a trophy at a ceremony! Having CMT means you have to push yourself harder! And we CAN do that! Who said life was going to be easy? Would we like a life without struggle? I would not! OMG, I will pay for this for a week or so. My girlfriends talked me into it, and I said what the heck. After having to be helped up & down the (steep) bank to get to the launch, I realized that 2 women ( one with CMT ) cannot flip a capsized canoe full of water, (which happened 3 times) Me trying to keep my balance in 3 feet of water standing on nothing but big rocks was a joke. I had fun, and haven't done anything like that in years, but now I'm choking down pain pills so I can be oblivious to the aftermath. Gotta love these lousy muscles.
