Guest guest
A friend of mine husband had a liver transplant. His kidneys are now shutting down. My friend said it is not unusual for the kidney to lose function a few years after a transplant and one will need a new kidney. I guess it is considered a side affect of a liver transplant. Due to the fact her husband started back drinking alcohol, the medical university in ton will not perform a kidney transplant. Sad thing, he was one of the lucky few who got another chance at life by getting a liver and he ruined it again. Some people like my sister never got a chance for a new liver. My sister passed from liver disease a couple of years ago. I was told it was most likely the Tylenol in her pain meds. She was ill and in the hospital for 8 months before passing and it was not until a month before her death they discovered liver issues. She was one who did not have to die. Yes, Tylenol is a very dangerous drug and should never go over the counter. I am so thankful my now grown kids had a pediatrician who said from the get go that Tylenol was a very dangerous drug. He said people were dying from it more than we know. He often said a lethal does was one taken for a hangover. This was 28 years ago. Tylenol toxicity is not a new thing and now it is like they are promoting the damage it causes as a new discovery. The same goes for benadryl. As much as I like keeping my benadryl around, it is still a strong drug and needs to be used with caution. I know if I take a small does of benadryl it takes me 3 days to overcome the side effects..it can even make an allergy or cold go into an infection..this was another thing my children's doctor warned me about, how antihistamines can cause infections. He was right, it seems if I take one, it is a couple of days later I have a sinus infection. We do best to take as few drugs as possible. It is like my chiropractor says, ask your self if you need the drug to keep living. I have been working on coming off most of my meds and to be honest, I feel so much better. I still keep my nexium around but you know, I REALLY don't need it every day. They try to make one think they have to take the stuff 2 times a day for it to work. If I start feeling a bit of acid reflux, I take it for a couple of days and then I might not need it for another week. We are living in a society which is way to medicated. I was one of those people so I know. I am still having issues but the meds did nothing to heal any of my problems. They just covered some of the symptoms and caused me other problems.
