I have a GO-GO scooter from Pride Mobility and love it.  It is 4 wheels, easy to

maneuver, is lightweight to put in a car trunk.  It comes apart, the seat from

the wheel and battery mechanism.  We take it everywhere when there is some

walking beyond a few steps.  I also have a Jazzy which is heavy, cannot be

transported unless you have a van with a ramp or lift.  It maneuvers well and is

great for outdoors.

Hope this helps.

My husband also has the Gogo. Medicare paid for it. Before that he had a more

expensive even lighter scooter, a Moxie Featherlite, made in Israel. I've seen

others like it, the EZ Travel Elite; they are grey and even lighter than the

Gogo. American Airlines broke it; Lufthansa broke it, and so did Egypt Air;

United didn't. The Gogo seems to be sturdier although the Fatherlite is easier

to lift and take apart. If you're not going on airplanes and aren't hard on it,

you might want to look at the EZ Travel Elite. If you are going on airplanes,

insist on driving up to the gate and getting it back at the next gate like a

baby's stroller.
