Guest guest
Hi all, I know that CMT can cause sleep apnea for CMT's patients, so I wonder if anyone about my age, 20-28 years old range, has it? From my understanding, sleep apnea is a progressive condition. So my second question is that, if anyone has this illness for a long time, could you please tell me the progress of this illness on your body? Does it rapid or slow? Does it move along with the progress of your CMT condition? My third question is that, does anyone consider surgery and does it help you to treat this illness completely? Best regards, Minh
Guest guest
Minh, As for your third question, no, surgery alone will not stop the progression of CMT completely. CMT is genetic and will progress according to each one's unique pre-determined genetic code. Gretchen
