Guest guest
; This was just an idea, especially since it is another type of chat where you can actually hear one anothers' voice and not just type responses in. In this day of technology, it is nice to know we can communicate through the internet with voice and not just words on the monitor. Guest guest
The importance of PCR is a very controversial subject amoung drs.............I have read this in numerous documents.........some consider it only a clinical test to follow effects of treatment. And, others the opposite.......
Guest guest
Pumpboz, PRC stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction. The most accurate test available at present. For a complete explaination go to: www.geocities.com/1LeighAnn and scroll down to the links button panel. This and most of the other labs have buttons there. Glenn > What does pcr stand for? Guest guest
Mark - He sounds like a piece of work, and I would get myself another doctor if I were you! On the oppostie side of the coin, my doctors want my PCR done every three months to keep an eye on it! I am fortunate to have residents as my doctors, and they are very forward- thinking. I also think they are more interested in alternative methods. Do you have insurance, Mark? I'm covered through a NJ State program because of my low income. God bless. Guest guest
Wow, : Interesting link. . . Some of it makes a lot of sense, really. I've wondered about how we're trying to get rid of candida when it's a naturally occurring yeast that's supposedly only problematic when it changes form to a fungus. I often read how people are trying to get rid of the candida, but isn't it really the fungus and its spores that we need to get rid of and not the candida? I also find the " dangerous grains " argument a bit unsettling. Rather than grains being so bad for our bodies, I think that our bodies aren t healthy enough to eat them especially when they aren't prepared properly like pre-soaking. Anyway, having said that, there are many theories out there that sound very good. But in actuality, it's what works that matters. I agree with what she wrote about veganism. I did that for 2 years and my skin problems flared up worse to where I am now and haven't been able to get rid of it. However, I have noticed that my skin is better when I avoid sugar and sugary things like peaches and apples and lots of other fruits. So I feel I need to avoid those things for now or at least until my skin can heal, then possibly start adding some of it back into my diet. I have been low carbing and going gluten free for the past 2 1/2 months to see if my condition improves. I have made some improvements, but I still have quite a ways to go. I'm hoping to heal then later gradually add things back into my diet (quality stuff, of course, not the bad stuff back in!) Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that although I think the author of the article makes some very good and valid points about eating a variety of foods, I think some of us are too sick to handle eating everything and for a time can only eat certain things until our bodies can recover somewhat. I think limiting the diet too long may be problematic regarding starving out the good bacteria and causing other imbalances. However, just from my personal experience, I think that when you're really sick, the body just can't handle all foods and must recover to a point where it can take it again. From reading the posts on this forum, you'll see that some people are adding things back into their diets. We're all at different stages with this candida problem. I don't know what your original question was regarding canned coconut cream or sourdough bread was, but I eat young coconuts--both the flesh and water almost daily plus taking coconut oil, and I have in the past (before trying this gluten-free diet) eaten sourdough bread and didn't seem to react badly to it at all. If I would eat any bread, it would likely be sourdough because it has been pre-soaked. But I think wheat is a no no on the candida diet? Take care, Marla -------Original Message------- Hi, I'm still waiting for an answer to my question regarding canned coconut cream without preservatives and sourdough bread. In the meantime, I found this article http://www.regaininghealthnaturally com/Food_as_Medicine/Carbohydrates_Candida_and_Common_Sense.shtml where it is explained why fruits and carbohydrates (in moderation) should be part of a candida diet. I would like to hear some opinions about this, since I am very confused right now. best,

Guest guest
Hey ya'll, I know that ever since I started Tx Iv'e had itchy everything. And believe me it's gotten worse, especially my head, back of my neck and my for arms. I mean it's so bad that I will be sitting here just digging in my head because the iching won't stop. Then I have sores real bad. The only thing iv'e found that does help is a certain kind of shampoo & cond. Now I started using some stuff my sister-in-law gave me from her salon, she mixed it up for me, I'll find out what it is & let ya'll know. I also found the less I wash my hair the better it is. Some people can't do that, or won't if they have oily hair. fortunatly for me I don't so I can get away with washing mine every 4 days. Well that is whats left of it.I think it's the dryness of our skin from the treatments that do this. At least I know it is for me, I never had dry skin, I never had a skin problem period. And my God, now my skin is all messed up. And I'm just getting over the Chickenpox, yes thats right I said the Chickenpox. Talk about a trip, at my age. And it has been so rough on my body with the Tx & all those sides. They just don't want to heal. It's been about 6 or 7 weeks now. I don't know if they will go away or not. Talk about iching! Well good luck & God bless you & yours.
