Guest guest
Sherry, here is wishing you much peace throughout the coming days and tests being run on you. I hope thing will turn out all right in order that you can resume the other battle with the AP. So many on here have been given double and triple fights, it seems. But your attitude appears to be very good and don't you think that is a lot of the battle? Again, glad to hear from an "oldie" and let us hear how you progress and the test results. Thinking of you, I remain, Sherry wrote: Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I have not posted in awhile we have been very busy so I have not had much time for emails lately. We have had a lot of illness in the church lately and three funerals, one more yet to come spent the past two days with my husband at the nursing home with a woman from church. We have not met her husband as he is not aware of anything that is going on around him. Now they are just waiting for him to go home to be with God. We will have to travel a bit for this funeral and we have a another man who has been in the hospital for six weeks now, the doctors say that he should recover fully but he is very depressed right now. I feel so blessed to have my family and even though I have pain at least I can communicate. Oh by the way my husband is a pastor, I don't know if I ever mentioned that before. My health has taken a bad turn but I just take things one day at a time and I am filling out forms to hopefully get disability. The doctors are wanting to run some really expensive test on me and I just went through a whole batch of them that did not show anything new. I have not been on the Doxy for a few months now because of some other problems. I will hopefully get back sometime soon, dont know. Things might be up and down but I am at peace with where I am. Though I look forward to someday being well, today I will just take things one step at a time.May you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!Sherry To unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups

Guest guest
Ruth, I am so glad you are not getting implants. Yes, You and your Hubby made a wonderful decision by not getting the implants. Thank God you found this site. I had saline and even though I only had them for one year and 3 months I am still sick from them. The valve was defective and was leaking mycobacteria into my body. Stuff growing inside of me makes me sick to think of it. Surely, Implants was the worst mistake of my life and didn't dream this could even happen to me. IF we were only warned of the true dangers this might not of happened to us. Thank God for your decision and believe he is watching out for your health. God Bless!!!!!! Guest guest
Dear Ruth, Thanks so much for your message. Whenever I see a message like yours, it brings home how important this site and others like it are. I'm thankful that through this site, you have been saved years or even a lifetime of agony. Getting implants was the biggest mistake I've ever made, and I've alway said if I could save one person from making the same mistake, then it would all be worth it - and you know what, it is. Guest guest
Jeanette, I am glad you were able to spend time with your son. Remembering our Lord and Savior and spending time with the people we love is what Christmas is all about. Even with your illness intruding, you were blessed this holiday season. Belinda [ ] Merry Christmas I just thought I'd share with you all that I had a fantastic visit with my son whom I had not seen in 4 years. We were able to spend over 2 days together. Unfortuneately, I wore out before he left and had a horrible migraine & elevated blood pressure, so he saw me quite out of it/ill. Of course, it's partly my own fault, I tried to spend every moment I could with him (naturally) and did not allow enough time for rest (I did not want to). Today, I've been forced to rest/recuperate, but I'm very much at peace, don't care if I'm a bit under the weather, and VERY Happy. I hope all of you can enjoy your Christmas as much as I did. Guest guest
It's really nice to hear some of the " it worked out " stories during the holidays. Jeanette, I'm also glad your visit worked out. Being that worn out is worth it in many cases. There was a young fighter pilot, back from his 4th mission to Iraq, that lives in this area. His military schedule didn't allow any visitation time, but did approve his refueling stop at our Regional airport. He flew in with his plane which looked to be armed, landed at the airport and was able to spend one hour with his family before having to continue to his destination. It was a thrill for some of us just to see that fighter plane land where it didn't belong, and a fly-over to salute the families of soldiers that won't make it home for the holidays. Little things can really be BIG! Happy Holidays, everyone!! Guest guest
Hi : I know you son will enjoy making that wonderful meal!! I usually make sauce, meatballs, pork, and all the Italian fixings. But this year my son is here, , and we will cook together a tradional turkey dinner. I just bought that " set it and forget it " machine, and it is fabulous!! We will cook the turkey on it. We will have a very happy Christmas this year, and I thank God everyday he is here with me. God does work in mysterious ways. I want to wish you and your family a wonderful and Merry Christmas. This is my favorite holiday. God Bless you, and wishing you pain free days. Guest guest
, Boy did you hit the nail on the head! I had my first holiday shopping experience with RA yesterday. Hoo Boy! Three hours later and I couldn't walk! Had to call hubby to leave work and come rescue me. Had to have my son do most of the wrapping of the gifts...I got home and collapsed in bed and couldn't move for the rest of the night. Who knew! Still sore this morning but not letting it stop me. In to the office for a few hours and then to the grocery store (hope I hold up). At least now I know what to look forward to next year (LOL)! I am attacking losing my mobility (and abilities) with a sense of humor and the belief that God won't let me go through anything I can't handle. After all, a few months ago (before diagnosis) I made a deal with him that I would deal with whatever he threw at me just don't let me die. I got my wish now I have to honor the agreement! Life (and holidays) are what you make them. Quality time with those who you love and who love you is what counts. Getting sick is what confirmed that for me. I am now trying to live my life everyday to reflect this. Our time here on Earth is too short. I want to make every waking moment count and be able to look back at the end of my day and say it was a good day, whether pain free or not! Again Happy Holidays to All on this list. May your days be filled with happiness and love and as pain free as possible. Betsy

Guest guest
I did some of my Christmas shopping last year after Christmas. Then I did most of the rest online. That is so much easier, with no crowds to contend with. Everybody was offering free shipping because of the poor economy, so that was another plus. Guest guest
Hi Betsy and Group - I just wanted to share that online shopping has become my friend. It saves me from getting stuck in a store unable to move and allows me more quality (hopefully painfree) time with my family. Most place offer free shipping, so you can't beat that and the prices are comparable to in-store prices. I know this is a little late for this year, but perhaps for next year - or birthdays in between. May God Bless you all with a pain free, Merry Christmas.....Doreen > > , > > Boy did you hit the nail on the head! I had my first holiday shopping experience with RA yesterday. Hoo Boy!
