Not Always a Prostate Issue - sleep

Most men over 50 have an enlarged prostate.

Me too.

When I started to get up a couple of times a night I thought the problem was

reaching critical mass.

One night I didn't get up. Then another night. And another.

What changed was I started using a CPAP machine as I was diagnosed with sleep

apnea -- a common CMT problem as often the diaphragm is compromised.

When I was wakened from sleep by apnea issues, I would have an urge to urinate.

I blamed the urge to urinate for waking me up. It wasn't. I was running out of

air.

Now I sleep 7-9 hours without the nocturnal trips.

Before having any treatment/medication for prostate issues, I recommend having a

sleep test.

A little more air may banish prostate symptoms.

Regards.
