Guest guest
Thanks Margaret, My plan for moving is to get where I am closer to the state actually Albany is the capital and Im right there, Im not afraid to make noise for something I believe in. I have called the asemblymans office and they sent me to Senator Seward. First I see what the state has to offer me when I go to the meeting on March 3rd.I am seeing the director of directors of Capital District Developmentally Disabled.... AKA the state.Ill see what their answers are to my questions. And they know about the reporter and the family with the law suit thats why they want to give me what I should have had all along so if I testify they can say they now are offering me services..It started out like a fight, now its more like a belief in whats right for all of us.They thought I would go away but I didnt. Our local ARC is pulling for me, giving me pointers for our meeting.I have been thru 5 bosses, called crazy, and I finally got an apt with somebody after I mentioned the newspaper. I wont stop, or go away, or shut up, or be fast talked period.I am stronger than they ever thought.Even than I ever thought I was. If I am not saitisfied I ask them ok whose your boss the last very nice woman said well next in line is the director of directors, well see I wonder who her boss will be. Guest guest
Thanks Margaret, Then that will definitely be my summer project. Actually, I might get started on my plans now. Guess the first thing I need to do is to find a moderator, get word of mouth going and write up an ad for the paper. Hmmmmmm, maybe I can even get free advertising through a story in the paper. Yep, guess I'm starting . LOL Gail :-) Hi, Everyone....Gail....You bet!!! Years ago, when fighting for Gareth, I ALWAYS got noticed when I put something in the paper.....by board members, superintendents, principals, etc. Hey, if they don't want to play by the rules, then you advertise for someone who will. I think that is a great idea to get a local support group together for BOCES parents......strength in numbers, they say.
