she may of had it a long time there was little hint to it but it seem like the

last two years after some shots and a drug thearpy was (two seperate things) she

just started playing in her head and doing that stuff like they shake there

hands and started rocking stuff. no she was alwways in trouble at school just

never was right when socializing .everybody shook it off that I was a dumb mom

who let my kid get a way with every thing.I tell you Id love to see my daughter

though her swimsuit up on the lockers agine.she cant have any more surgery it

could kill her but I take her to get crainals it has always help to stop her

scizzor (elpaletic) sound it out I cant spell some time well latly the women has

been working on her hip. michelle use to talk alot and she still talk alot in

her head when left alone.she has very little eye contack I dont know how long

that been 1 year six mouth .any way this gal that dose the crainel let michelle

tell her what wronge with body movment and fasil

expression.michelle dose not like to tell you if any thing hurts.I think she

afraid that it will upset you. she dosent have allegy like going to the

hostbille or celic but we took her to the wholitic dr last spring and they

tested what was good for her and wheat was realy bad dairy soy msg were just

bad.stomach test has not been done were realy behind up here.I got to go to

anchrage just for the test .there might even be a chanch there gonna call

itsomthing else but every thing I been reading lead to autism cant sleep at

night and I dont know where she is but she a realy playing in her head.the ear

infection sinus and what stange I sure other people have worse then michelle but

I tell you Im having a hard time just with the change.she has a leathle

condition calle ploymortory hyper tension which is aval in the heart that

constrick and causes the the right side of the heart to thicken and then causes

the pressure inhe lung to be as high as 60 to70 percent while your and mind is

20

percent the heart dr only gave her until now to 2 year but I cant think that

way and I wont.either way I except what happen .any way I not sure why but I

want to know more about schools spesial school for these neat little people I

sure I wont talk so much nexk time I guess i just want it off my chest.cindy and

Hi, Everyone........welcome to the group. I don't think we have a DS

kid on this site who developed autism at such a late age. Most of our kids

showed signs at very young ages but were diagnosed later on in years because of

not knowing about the dual diagnosis....DS and autism. What sort of life

threatening disease does have? Does she have celiac disease or

allergies to foods? My son is lactose intolerant with GERD...gastric

esophageal

reflux disease. Does she speak well enough to tell you where she hurts? Has

she

had a complete physical to r/o thyroid issues, menstrual issues, gastric

problems or hip dysplasia? You said she stopped doing Special Olympics. My

son

had to have hip surgery for hip dysplasia....something that is common is DS

kids because of their lack of muscle tone. Just some ideas for you. Chime

in any time. By the way....we visited Alaska 3 years ago. Beautiful area!!!
