Guest guest
Hi, Yes, luckily I am doing better now but I still have issues. When I returned to work after the 12 weeks of disability, I actually wore an N95 respirator during work. That meant at least 5 or 6 hours a day that required me to be in the sick building was spent wearing a mask. (My office had already been moved to another building- my labs were still in the sick building.) I was finally allowed to switch departments so I no longer have to work in that building. If I need to enter it for a meeting or to pick up supplies- I wear the mask. Since wearing the mask and then being out of the building, I have not had one sinus infection, pneumonia, bronchitis or serious bout of vertigo. My asthma is better as long as I take my meds. (I only had occasional asthma attacks prior to working in this building- I took primatene tablets over the counter and that usually was enough to control them. Now I have to take preventive meds. every day.) I was sick constantly before. I also use a neti pot every day to wash out my sinuses. I still have reactions in public buildings, other work buildings. Just not to the level that they used to be. I also developed fibromyalgia during the 12 weeks and that has gotten better with medication but still affects me.
