Guest guest
Learned this from a dog trainer what also helps is whats in there diet. Cats diet should consist of a 80 to 90 protein diet (no corn, soy, grains) Dogs, need real vegetables and some fruits. They are herbivores like us.  again no corn or soy. Costco and traders Joes both have very healthy dog food never had a flea problem From: KC <tigerpaw2c@...> Subject: [sick buildings] Re: Borax: Flea Treatment Date: Sunday, August 22, 2010, 8:00 AM A vet told me long ago to use head and shoulders for both cats and dogs. I have never used anything else and seems to work great. I rarely find any fleas on them and I use 20 muleteam? borax for indoors and it does kill fleas roaches and eggs > > No the borax was for everything else (furniture, floors, etc.). I caved and used an all natural but still fumey tick shampoo for the dog because I had no choice. There are all natural products out there but they still contain the chemical needed to kill the fleas. > Sorry I don;t have any better suggestions. > Surella
Guest guest
Diatomeous Earth kills fleas and is safe! I am about to get a dog that was raised and so were his parents and grandparents on the raw food diet. The entire line is healthy and have all lived longer than the standard life expectancy touted for the breed. They even get chciken bones to chew on. As bones that are cooked splinter and the raw ones are perfectly fine for them. This is his diet 2-3% body weight 75-85% meat chicken thighs 2/meal turkey no pork no beef no grain no cabbage no onions no corn no peas Carrots Broccoli Asparagus String Beans Cherry Blueberries Tomatoes Apples Plain yogurt Canned pumpkin Sardines The vet is an ASS! H & S has formaldehyde in it! Angel Re: [] Re: DIET_Borax: Flea Treatment Learned this from a dog trainer what also helps is whats in there diet. Guest guest
Thanks...I read that, too, about the food. Since then, I am giving them really good food with no fillers. My dog is highly sensitive to any flea products; I do believe she is as sensitive as I am, so I won't give her a bath with the flea products. I worry about any chemicals, even those found in Head and Shoulders, with her, as her little tummy just turns red and she's miserable. Don't want to chance it. Still waiting for this Cedarcide. What is that " earth " stuff again? Where do you find it? ________________________________ From: a Townsend <kmtown2003@...> Sent: Sun, August 22, 2010 9:16:43 AM Subject: Re: [] Re: DIET_Borax: Flea Treatment  Learned this from a dog trainer what also helps is whats in there diet. Cats diet should consist of a 80 to 90 protein diet (no corn, soy, grains) Dogs, need real vegetables and some fruits. They are herbivores like us.  again no corn or soy. Costco and traders Joes both have very healthy dog food never had a flea problem

Guest guest
Do you sprinkle the diatomeous earth on cat back and neck and leave it on? Iknow my stray used to roll in a dry patch of dirt and get all lpowdered up with dry dirt and never had fleas. Maybe the fleas don't detect him or the dirt is abrassive to fleas or dry them. I feed a high protein, no grain diet already. > > Diatomeous Earth kills fleas and is safe! I am about to get a dog that was raised and so were his parents and grandparents on the raw food diet. Guest guest
About Diatomaceous Earth: If you have lung problems do not inhale, powder is very fine.  Fleas like unhealthy pets. If you are going to use it use FOOD GRADE ONLY: http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/defaq.html  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: barb b w <barb1283@...> Sent: Thu, August 26, 2010 9:47:22 AM Subject: [] Re: DIET_Borax: Flea Treatment  Do you sprinkle the diatomeous earth on cat back and neck and leave it on?
