This is excellent. I have been having problems with the muscles in my legs

and arms and I do believe it's due to cell death and not being able to recover

from exercise.

Does anyone have leg and arm weakness?

About six years ago, I felt an intense " pins and needles " feeling in my right

thigh that wouldn't go away for days. Then my thigh suddenly went numb. It has

since gotten back some feeling but is still generally numb to the touch. I get

severe pain in that thigh when I stand for more than ten minutes. I have felt

twinges of pain in my left thigh recently, but nothing more, and lately my feet

seem to go numb frequently for short periods of time, then " wake up " with that

same " pins and needles " feeling, although not as intense.

About five years ago, I experienced very strong pain in my right arm, so much so

that I was totally incapacitated for about nine weeks. I hardly slept and had

no relief from the pain no matter what I tried to do to stop it. Pain pills

(which I take only as a last resort) didn't even help. I went to a neurologist

who gave me an EEG test. He told me that a nerve was dying and that I would

feel relief from the pain after it died. He suggested that I would need surgery

within six months to avoid the same thing happening in my left arm, but I chose

to wait and have not had pain in my left arm in the past five years.

I use small weights to work out every other day, particularly my arms and legs,

hoping this will help stave off future problems.

I was exposed to stachybotrys (toxic fungus) and aspergillus in huge amounts

from 1987 until 1997 in the workplace.

So that's my experience with arm and leg pain, but I can't say that I've felt

any weakness in my extremities.

shha, my legs and arms were very weak for along time and they can fastly get

that way again with exposure to several things. damaged tissue can heal, sometime

maybe good, sometimes maybe not so good,if somethings stuck in that tissue

somewhere it could, depending on what it is, get

re-aggervated,infected,inflamed, like some cysts,polups,ect..

nerve damage can also play a role in weakness and

pain,hypersensitivity,hyper-reactivity..

I did pretty good last night at my daughters but even so, I can fell the effects

of weakness and pain today in my body. like I keep telling her, her version of

" no smell " and mine are two different things.

what saved me from more suffering is what I often do, even in winter.

last night it was a little warmer here for winter and it was raining. so I

turned the heat down for a bit and opened the front door to let some fresh air

in. but being at her house and knowing I was going to be there a few hours,I

knew that door had to be open for awhile and thats all there was to it. lol's

it's a contant thing when babysetting, they usually dont get a choise, it's here

or nowhere and if your smelling your showering and putting your cloths in a bag

and wearing some of mine. I do get somewhat grouchy when my space gets invaded,

can't help it. they forget and I remind them when they do. I also make it clear

that it's not their fault, its my illness and my illness can make me grouchy but

it's what is happening in my brain, not because I'm mad at them.

I like to take advantage of days when the air is fresh and let some in even if I

have to bundle up for awhile to do it.

I relate heat either radiating off my body or in certain spots of my body to

inflammation and or infection. they use to put people in tubs of ice to quickly

bring down fevers. I have and do apply cold to certain areas/organs of my body

when I fell what I consider a fever and it does work. I'd move to the north pole

but I also know my nerves cant take constant tottal body cold for to long.

This weakness in my arms and legs also has a cold dead feeling to it. I've had

to take steriods for a few years for my secondary adrenal insufficiency and

recently had a lot of stress in my life but didn't up my dose of steriods. Now

I wake up in the morning shaky and my thighs are weak but it gets better when I

take steroids. I'm thinking I'm going to be diagnoses with another autoimmune

disease only this one will be related to the muscles.

I'm going to have some tests done and I'll keep you posted. I think these toxins

we can't get rid of get into our DNA and alter our cells in a bad way. When our

body sees these altered cells it attacks them.

Thanks for all the information.

Joanne F - my husband had similar symptoms beginning last March. The only

improvement he's found has stemmed from seeing an OMD who uses traditional

chinese medicine including chinese herbal remedies and electro-acupuncture.
