Remember that you can have regular film developed in a digital format, allowing you to send photos by e-mail that have been taken on a regular camera. Also, if you go to a fairly good copy shop, they will scan any photo and put it on a disc.

Hello

Kynzie is a doll. What a great name as well. I do think that you

can see some improvement. How old is Kynzie? Have you had a

specialist look at her and take any sort of measurements? What

types of helmets would you have access to?

As for the tilt in the one picture I really can't say much. She

doesn't look like she tilts in any of the back pics. Does she

prefer one side over the other? Does the muscle feel tight? Has

she been evaluated by a pt? You can call Early Intervention or

Birth to 3 in some states and they will come out to your house and

eval/screen her to see if she has tort. Might be a good idea to

rule out. Tort and Plagio go hand in hand. Good luck and keep us

updated on Kynzie.

I've been repositioning her since April 28th. I know that from her

pictures her head doesn't look all that bad, but she does have a

flat spot in the middle of the back. I posted the last 3 side

photos I have taken of her. I think I see improvement...does anyone

else? I posted her back photo that I took last night. In the first

photo her ears seem to be misaligned, but then in the second photo I

made her hold her head straight and held it with my hand and they

seem to be aligned alright. I also added her face picture to show

everyone how she tilts her head to the left. Does anyone think she

may have tort by looking at this pic? Please let me know all of

your opinions. I would like to know if anyone thinks she needs a

band or helmet. I need to pursue that option soon if I " m going to

do it.

Kynzie is 6 months old. I haven't had a specialist look at her and take measurements. My pediatrician is one of those that say "She'll grow out of it". I'm not taking that for an answer this time though. My son is now stuck with a flat head because I didn't know much about plagio and the same ped told me he would grow out of it too...now at 3 his head is really bad. Hopefully he will have a strong self-esteem and can deal with the teasing that inevitably kids are going to give. I don't know what types of helmets/bands that I have access too. I just figured that I would have to see a cranio facial surgeon or a neurosurgeon and then they would tell me what was available. Is there a way to find out what is available on my own?

As for her "tilt". She ALWAYS tilts to the left...however, the muscle doesn't feel tight. She has great range of motion, she just tilts her head that way. I haven't had her evaluated by a pt. I just recently started to realize she may have tort. I go to see her pediatrician on June 8th and then I can ask for some referrals. Thanks for the info on Early Intervention. I'll have to look into that.

I'm sorry that you guys had to go through the surgery, I bet that

was tough. Thanks for sharing the photos of the Fit Well, I had

seen only one child in one before. What is making them change the

design and how are you using two helmets? Alternating or what?

He is really cute, he reminds me of a TV baby but I can't put my

finger on who...

When we first got the helmet, he asked me to put it on Jack for a

couple of hours a day. We went in after a week and let him know how

it was. Since we liked it better, he decided to try and fix it so it

didn't need the screw thing at the top. I guess my Dr. had been

asking him to design a new one because the old one didn't really let

the head grow on both sides. Since Jack had scapho (which is what

happens when the sagittal suture is closed), he needs both sides to

grow out. I will be taking the new helmet to my appt. with the

plastic surgeon, and I am hoping he ok's it.

I sent all my most precious photos to a company to scan and put on a CD, that I

could then keep as well as store on my hard drive.

Then bag the photos, or if you want them to someday be okay again, put them in

storage in boxes in a very dry hot climate. Wait five years.

Can you please explain how the photos become " okay " after being stored for 5

years? Its my experience that nothing paper can be saved or made safe. Thanks~

Apparently if you store them in an arid hot climate (in a public storage locker

you rent, I assume) the mold spores and toxins will denature over about five

years.

Don't store them in plastic or wrap them up.

And don't store them in a cool or humid climate.

I was just looking at the photos that some of the other members have posted over

the years and seeing all that mold and reading through the archives has me

terrified. I never really thought about post traumatic stress disorder but I

cant tell you it does exist and I experience it every day.

As much as I love living here all I can think about doing is running as far away

from this place as possible due to the mold they found in the a/c coils but I

have no guarantees that I'll be moving into a safe environment. I cant sign a

lease because if I get sick in my new apartment than what? I looked into moving

back into the hotel I was living in for 3 months and their rent has gone up

almost $100.00 a month which I cant afford.

As far as I know we dont have any more mold in the house but Im worried that

whatever is in the air thats affecting me is affecting my puppy as well. Should

I give her to a home that doesnt have any known mold issues, do I keep her and

move into a place that takes small dogs? I have all these questions running

through my mind right now but because Im not thinking clearly I hate to make the

wrong decision which could make my situation worst but if I don't do something

my health is only going to deteriorate.

I can see why so many move to warmer climates and live out of their cars, at

least there they know their safe.
