Mic was pretty obvious by the time he was 2 1/2.But we had alot of eyes on

him everyday we had so much EI in the house.Mic slaps me because of lack of

communication I think, plus hes my boss. Laurie

Hi Laurie,

We had a lot of eyes on too, he started EI in my house when he was just

7 weeks old, with no interruptions. Honestly, had NO AUTISTIC

tendencies untill the age of 9. was overly friendly to everyone, his

strongest

areas were attention span, and memory, and social skills. When he started it

was very subtle he would stare at his hands as they were full of diamonds,

then it progressed to flapping. Then he started prefering to be alone and

play alone. It's interesting because I had him on Nutrivyne D from the age of

2

through the age of 9, and about 3-4 months after I took him off he started

with the autistic tendencies, I have been thinking about putting him back on

to see what happens he is 13 now. Viola

Hi Viola,

That's how it started for too, but only at age 3 1/2! His fingers

were covered in jewels that he felt he needed to admire on and off throughout

the day! He still does this. Then the next noticable behavior that I remember

was the jumping up and down and hand flapping. Then it progressed to it seeming

like he was deaf - he was in his own world and you could call him with a

megaphone in his ear, not that we really did this, and he wouldn't even turn to

you! And then it went on and on and on from there! Now I don't question it -

he has too many symptoms for me to think it's just Ds.

I don't know what to tell you, have you done the checklists?

Viola: Tori started with the head banging really early on...infancy. Then

when she started to be a bit more stable..she would twist her head from side

to side really fast. Then she started hand flapping and leg stiffening.

She then started self soothing " It's OK " and patting herself. Her eye

contact seemed to be very distant, and then the echolalia, inappropriate

laughing, secluding herself from other kids..and then WALA!!!! I realized

she acted more like twins I cared for who were Autistic, than the group of

kids from our DS group.
