Guest guest
Thanks Jeanin but what do I do in the mean time? Do I assume the truck is still cross contaminated even after its been remediated twice or is it the smell thats causing my symptoms? I feel like everything I come in contact with is contaminated and is going to make me feel worst. For the first time in my life I dont know what to do or who to turn to to help solve my problems. > > they added a citrus smell to cover up the chemical smell ? > so basicly they used a more chemicals with a citrus smell added to cover up the other chemicals,so now you have a truck offgassing all these chemicals. > Tug, think no smell, thats what you need. Guest guest
Tug, I think you may be hyper-reactive,hypersensitive to alot of things right now. and you may be for some time to come. it's a very hard thing we all go through. I can't tell you what to do about your truck. you may be able to air it out for awhile and be ok, or it may be along time and you might want to consider saleing it and looking for a clean used one that you dont react to. it could be the ac/heat thats getting to you more so than cross contamination issues and now cleaning chemicals along with it. new automobiles can offgas chemicals for along time. if you now have chemical sensitivity, theres alot of things you well need to change in your life to fell better. > > > Thanks Jeanin but what do I do in the mean time? Guest guest
Tug, I, like I think most here, had problems with their automobiles after they got ill. what you could tolerate before you might not tolerate now. perfumes, colones, scented candles, highway pollution, scented soaps, air freshners, cleaning products, ect. you basicly have to get all these things out of your space and advoid them all like the plaque. for example, your truck may of already had a moldy, smelly problem in the ac/heat system and it never bothered you before but well now. see what I'm saying ? > > > > they added a citrus smell to cover up the chemical smell ? > > so basicly they used a more chemicals with a citrus smell added to cover up the other chemicals,so now you have a truck offgassing all these chemicals. > > Tug, think no smell, thats what you need. Guest guest
Dave, I agree with Sue. Also, with the way you have described your reactions it sounds like you are now reacting to more than just mold. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- Tug, I'm no expert and don't have first hand knowledge but my understanding is 1) avoidance in every way possible of both mold and chemicals, and then 2) treatments to make you less hypersensitive sue >Right now Im living in a hotel and Im feeling pretty close to normal, my >headaches aren't to bad, the brain fog has cleared up somewhat and my >skin irritation is barely noticeable. > > ---------- The following section of this message contains a file attachment prepared for transmission using the Internet MIME message format. Guest guest
Thanks for all your replies and Im sure that Im hypersensitive to allot of things that have never bothered me before, my truck is only 2 years old and it's never given me an problems till I became hypersensitive. Like I said Im living in a hotel and with the help of the antfungals I no longer have the killer headaches or the light headedness that I was dealing with but I still have some minor skin irritation. I've started looking for a new vehicle but because I've had to use my credit card so much due to the mold my debt to income ratio may hinder me from being something I like and will more than likely have to purchase something that will get me from point a to point b. Something else Im worried about is cross contaminating the new vehicle. If that happens than I'll have no choice but to just keep driving it and hopefully I'll be able to work my way through it. I had to break up with my girlfriend because her clothes and truck had some mold spores on them and whenever she came around or we'd get into her truck I'd become symptomatic. This has effected every aspect of my life, never in my wildest dreams did I every think that by simply buying a condo would ruin my life. I've never felt so all alone in my entire life Thanks again Dave > > > > > > they added a citrus smell to cover up the chemical smell ? > > > so basicly they used a more chemicals with a citrus smell added to cover up the other chemicals,so now you have a truck offgassing all these chemicals. > > > Tug, think no smell, thats what you need. Guest guest
Dave, This must be so hard for you, feel free to contact me offline or to call at 928-554-4020 if you want someone to talk to.... I suggest you try to focus on getting your health under control and then you can start pulling the rest of your life back together. Maybe some of the others in this group would have suggestions on how you might be able to salvage your relationship by getting your girlfriend educated on personal care products, laundry soaps, clothing, etc. that wouldn't bother you. You might suggest she look on some of the MCS websites like The Canary Report and PlanetThrive for ideas, and also so she can see that others suffer these types of problems, its not just " in your head " best, sue > > >Thanks for all your replies and Im sure that Im hypersensitive to allot >of things that have never bothered me before, my truck is only 2 years >

Guest guest
Thank you Sue but when my girlfriend and I first abandoned the townhouse and I started to become more and more hypersensitive I told her to take her clothes to laundry-mat and wash them in regular detergent and borox soap and she wouldn't do it, she acted like going to a laundry-mat was beneath her. Then she said the only way she'd go is if I would go with her. By than it was to late I had became to hypersensitive and I dont think anything she did to her clothes or her truck would have mattered so I just ended the relationship. I haven't talked to her in a week and my birthdays in a few days, Im hoping she doesn't call or text. Hearing from her would be to hard. Funny thing, when we first moved in together we were talking about getting married, now were not even talking. > > Dave, > > This must be so hard for you, feel free to contact me offline or to call > at if you want someone to talk to.... > > I suggest you try to focus on getting your health under control and then > you can start pulling the rest of your life back together. Guest guest
My Jeep became irretrievably contaminated last June, or abouts. (I tried everything to save it, took out everything, extra seats, headliner, carpet, took apart air conditioning, scrubbed, ozoned forever)I still cannot sell it in this economy. I had to rent, and only found one car that I could tolerate, it has been financuially ruinous, I have borrowed cars before, borrowing uo to 4 different cars until I got the cross contamination under control. Your sensitivity will go down if you get away from the things that bother you, try and re-build your health. > > Right now Im living in a hotel and Im feeling pretty close to normal, my headaches aren't to bad, the brain fog has cleared up somewhat and my skin irritation is barely noticeable. > > A month ago I had my truck remediated (ozone method) and not only was the chemical smell that lingered horrendous whenever I turned on the heater both me and my girlfriend would itch non stop. Guest guest
Just remember that a lot of people have been through the same thing you are going through now, and have survived, and gone on with there lives, even though they must have a vigilant lifestyle. Concentrate on de-toxing with CSM and your symptoms will become more tolerable. - > > I feel like everything I come in contact with is contaminated and is going to make me feel worst. Guest guest
sorry to hear that, amazing that she wouldn't do these simple things to make it possible for you to comfortably be together, but maybe it's time to move on. Or, maybe she thinks it's all in your head, if you do talk, try to steer her towards some of the websites so she can learn that this is actually quite common, and you aren't crazy!! Or, maybe this will turn into the opportunity to meet " miss right " somewhere down the road, sometimes things happen for weird reasons... Guest guest
Thanks , Im fortunate in the fact that I dont have to driver very often. When I do drive it's usually to the store to buy some chicken even when I do that I have a window rolled partially rolled down and I try everything possible to not use the heater. It snowed last night so today for instance I wont be going anywhere unless I absolutely have but come dinner time Im going to have no choice but to get something to eat. There's quite a few restaurants about a mile from here what I might do is walk to Mcs get a couple of plain hamburgers, throw away the bun and just eat the meat. Last night when I went to bed my left ear started to hurt and it feels like it's getting worst, this is exactly what I dont need > > My Jeep became irretrievably contaminated last June, or abouts. Guest guest
Tug, Try eating lower on the food chain... avoid the over-processed items we mistakenly refer to as " Food " . Consider REAL food - the items that your distant ancestors would recognize as food. Produce, nuts, seeds, beans, herbs, spices in a wide variety of colors. Don't forget, as with any lasting changes: Take Baby-steps. Make small changes at a time so your body can adjust. Jeri

Price chapters (look on line) are good sources of info on local foods, cookbook Nourishing Traditions contains a wealth of info on traditional food prep, but it can be overwhelming, take baby steps with it... sue v >Tug, > Try eating lower on the food chain... avoid the over-processed items we >mistakenly refer to as " Food " . Guest guest
Jerry I've lifted weights religiously for the past 20 years. For 15 of those 20 years I've pretty much restricted my diet to chicken breasts and egg whites. Believe me, eating clean comes extremely easy for me. The one thing Im going to have a hard time giving up is diet pepsi. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs but Im definitely addicted to diet pepsi. > > Tug, > Try eating lower on the food chain... avoid the over-processed items we > mistakenly refer to as " Food " . Guest guest
Sue, I havent had a diet soda for 3 days. When I first became hypersensitive I didn't think having a single diet soda would hurt me but when I realized how serious this was and how difficult it's going to be for me to get into a " mold free " enviornment it wasnt hard to stop drinking any and all soda. Now all I drink is distilled water, I still drink coffee but it's made with distilled water and I don't add any sweetener or cream to it. > > dave, > > don't know how you break that addiction, but diet sodas contain > artificial sweeters which are neurotoxins, one of the last things you > need in your system.... sue > > >Jerry I've lifted weights religiously for the past 20 years. Guest guest
HI Dave, Especially if you are only drinking distilled water, then that water is stripped of it's natural minerals, so be sure and get some good sea salt, like celtic sea salt and use some on your food so you'll get some minerals. sue >Sue, I havent had a diet soda for 3 days.
