Guest guest
Sara, I love the Elie stories, What a great day, you must feel so proud of him! I remember you talking about the game he plays with the balloons that are not all the way full, this was so interesting to me, do you think it is cause he is trying to get over his fear cause didnt you say he is afraid of them all blown up? I just thought he was a smart guy to think up a game like this. keep telling us these cute stories, what a man he is now!!!!! Dawn, s mom > > Today - day 2 of a horrifically loooong spring break. Elie got up at 7:30A > and it is my day off - I could sleep til noon. But he didn't come in, jump > on the bed or yell. HE stood in the doorway and whispered - " Mommy is > sleeping, quiet please " . > > I of course welcomed him into my room for a morning hug - who could > resist??? > > He wanted to know " Mommy, Daddy, Elie go out for lunch?? " I agreed and > told him he had to get dressed with a new shirt, AND his MAFO's figuring he > would refuse or at best take hours to decide. 10 minutes later he was back, > MAFO's in hand for help - fully dressed and nothing on backwards on purpose > or inside out! So I put on the MAFO's, pushed my luck and told him to make > his bed. > > Now we have worked on making his bed, backward chaining, rewards at each > step, etc..... for at least 10 years. HE has NEVER made his bed, even > with hand over hand help. Today he MADE HIS BED - even pulled up the top > sheet and straightened his quilt! > > By the time we got to the local diner for lunch, I was really pusshing it - > took the menu and in a normal reading tone, I asked him if he would prefer > spaghetti, chicken snadwich or gyro.
