Guest guest
Read up on RSD. I don't know if I believe in it or if it is just one of those junk diagnosis. I have skin pain but it doesn't require me to touch it and I think it is due to toxin and CSM helps it to go away, or other things to detox liver. Sorry to hear about this. Sounds awful. If I were you I'd try some MSM now, very light dose...since we don't know what you have but it's good for alot of inflamatory things and for nerves, and also takes some things good for nerves like the oils, can't remember which ones, fish oils or omega oils. Hope you get some relief. How long has this been going on? > > Hello I was wondering if anyone shared one of my symptoms. I have been diagnosed a lot of times but mostly with facial neuritis and migraine syndrome. I too have been exposed to toxic mold in my Florida Condo and ordered out to vacate by the health department a year later! Anyway, does anyone have sensory nerve pain in their face? If I just touch my forehead and nose and drag my finger, the pain travels with my finger! plz respond if u have any ideas about this. >

Guest guest
What is MSM? I probably know but can't recall. I had the pain all over yesterday after being outside helping my husband shovel the 28 " of snow. I came in and had a total meltdown. Everything hurt including clothes touching my skin!! Warm bath, some food, water and warm bed helped. I did not go out today at all. AND we have more of the white stuff coming mid week!!!! I have found that my skin hurts when I do too much and yesterday I was really stupid and went way over my limits!! S >> Read up on RSD. Guest guest
thanx Barb for responding! This has been going on for 9yrs since I was 26! it started when I lived inOrlando and my upstairs neighbors unit caught on fire starting in his laundry room. the fire burnt the water heater connection which erupted and put the fire out but flooded my entire condo. There were holes in my diningroom ceiling from so much water! I was never sick b4 this but after the landlord " SAID " he did repairs I moved back in! I remember him tearing off the county sign on my door saying the bldg was inhabitable but I was sooo young I was just happy to b home! Started getting daily headaches and facial pain. I called the health dept. after about 1yr of being back and that's when they inspected the walls and said leave immediatley, the walls are still saturated with water 1yr later after the flood they told me!!! My life has never been the same. My symptoms include 24 hr headache and facial pain, 24 hr eye pain, migraine syndrome, can't read or use a computer without getting worsepain and migraine, can't even look at a computer screen with a movie on it for more than 2 seconds without feeling pulling in my eyes, When I try to read or use a computer.....my nose turns bright pink and throbs. (dont know the connection)......almost like when u use ur eyes to cry and ur nose turns red and gets puffy! Some phd told me once I could have crossed senses??? Some other symptoms are the pain I can trace with my finger in my nose and face. and my triggers for migraine are almost every single fragarance out there. plugs ins, smoke, deodorants, shampoos. Thanks for being interested in seeing how this started and the details! ps I have had surguires trying to fix this. I have had lasik to help me read but the pain is still there. I have has all wisdom teeth extracted last yr but it only left me with nerve damage on my chin!!! oh one more thing, my eyes are affected by wind from a fan and reading. I can't even drive as a passanger at night without my eyes closed and a hood over my eyes! If u have any same symptoms tell me On Sat Feb 6th, 2010 8:59 PM EST barb b w wrote: >Read up on RSD. Guest guest
hard for people to understand when you tell them it hurts to be touched. re-exposures to perfumes, chemicals/toxins can cause flair ups. I've gotten some strange looks from family, friends when they touch me and I react with pain. they really dont see how thats possable. > > thanx Barb for responding! Guest guest
This sounds pretty bad. Is the place you are in now safe, healthy? Living in very clean conditions is essential if you have been injured by a sickbuilding. Have you tried detoxing your liver, improving your diet to be low carb/low sugar? What have you done so far? Have you seen any environmental doctors? > > thanx Barb for responding! Guest guest
There is a small paperback book on the Miracle of MSM I got at my library. It's natural sulfur, a mineral that we need, good for skin and in certain amts a natural antimicrobial. Some say no amt is toxic but my skin starts to itch or burn if I take alot, often but it has cleared some skin problems that wouldn't go away on their own and taken the inflamation out of other. I know she doesn't have a 'skin problem' but it works on deeper level also. It might be a place to start to try something easy to get, start with just a little and if that goes okay, add a bit more...but as the saying goes, I'm not a doctor. I would think she needs to do everything good for exposure: sauna for skin detox, liver detox, change in diet, make sure where she is living is safe, etc, etc. > > What is MSM? Guest guest
Hi Barb! No I have not seen envir. dr.s but have tried a lot of natural cures like accupuncture and even did a 30 day detox diet program which consisted only of fresh squeezed oj and salads, potato or brown rice and some nuts n seeds. these were all timed feedings and I also had to juice celery 3x day for detoxing. I did this 30 days n it was terrible. I was also not allowed to watch tv bcuz they thought that would hurt my eyes......so now not only couldn't I read or use a computer because my condition, I couldn't even watch tv for a month! also did a rebounder trampoline everymorning and yoga and had to stop all medicine during this month. None of this worked and made any improvement to my health, in fact, it caused me to get an infection cause I think my diet was to alkaline! Guest guest
The diet doesn't sound good. Where was the protein source?, healthy fats? too many grains/carbs. I can imagine it made you worse. Where are you getting your advice? Doesn't sound good. How do you use computer now? > > Hi Barb! Guest guest
Try the amylose free diet. Mostly protien but it's all veggies except those that grow below the ground but you can eat onions and garlic. All fruits except bananas, meats, cheese, corn products, salsa, popcorn. You can get white corn wraps to make sandwich wraps. It's not bad and you can get quite creative. We made pizza with the corn wraps. Oh, no oats, barley, rice, or wheat products. Tostitoes, fritoes are great and only have 3 ingredients in them. It's mostly protien but works well. Guest guest
I too have face and head pain as well as migranes. No known " real " dx. Many different dx`s depending on the doc I see. Its been 5 years now and the pain is inside my skin. It does not hurt to the touch as yours does altough it is always there 24/7 in varying degrees. Feels like the inside of my face is being streched soooo tight. I get cold and numbness, and many others symptoms. Its been about 10 years now and no one has figured it out. nne > > Hello I was wondering if anyone shared one of my symptoms. Guest guest
I have tender skin until I started treating for mold exposure. It has improved, and I have fewer migraines, too. See my recent post where someone was asking about cholestyramine. Each of those things has helped a little here and there........still working on it all! > > Hello I was wondering if anyone shared one of my symptoms. Guest guest
The facial pain and neuritis usually results from the inflammation in the sinuses. This inflammation encroaches upon the sensory nerves of Trigeminal Nerve Divisions I and LL. Look up the anatomy of these nerves and you will see what I mean. These nerves take a course through the walls of the sinuses. Jack-Dwayne: Thrasher, Ph.D. Toxicologist/Immunotoxicologist/Fetaltoxicologist www.drthrasher.org toxicologist1@...
