Guest guest
I have two glands in paticular that get to bothering me even when my fibromyalia symptoms aren't in full mode, which luckily I've got a pretty good handle on most of the time. anyone with fibromyalgia ever had a gland biopsied? these two glands get aggervated at the same time. strange that these to glands are not included in the 17 glands used to diagnose fibromyalgia. wonder why? yet one of them was pushed on while I was being looked at by a infectious disease doctor, hurt like heck. one under my left arm pit, the other one at the top of the left thigh. anyone else ? Guest guest
well, the one under the arm appears to be tied in with the breast and maybe breast cancer. and the other one, but very strange that along with my toxic mold exposure and my monthly getting more painful, disregulated, than endometriosis and all, I had what might not be exactly vv syndrome but swelling up inside you no where and I think there several glands in that area that were affected. I know, but hey. and men do get affects somewhat the same, just different body parts. so anyway, I thought this was interesting as to the fibromyalia connection. FIBROMYALGIA AND VV SYNDROME http://www.ehow.com/facts_5903819_fibromyalgia-vulvar-pain.html (NOTE, ALTHOUGH CANDIDA IS MOSTY MENTIONED HERE, YOU CAN FIND INFO. RELATING CHEMICALS AS ANOTHER FACTOR) VV SYNDROME The condition represents a hyperaesthesia of the vulvar vestibule and the Pinpoint tenderness elicited is confined to the strip of skin in which are located the minor vestibular glands. Even although in this condition a lymphocytic infiltrate is often seen surrounding these glands the cause of the inflammation and redness is not established and no specific infecting organism has consistently been found (9). The aetiology of this condition is not established. There is probably a noxious stimulus to the nerve endings in the affected area (either by an infective agent such as Candida, trauma etc) and this results in the hypersensitivity of the nerve endings as evident clinically. In the normal vulvar vestibule. there is a lack of specialized nerve endings such as Paccinian corpuscles. Meissner tactile discs etc, and the skin is exclusively innervated by unmyelinated C fibres (12) which are usually responsible for the transmission of painful stimuli. Thus all sensation in the vestibule is transmitted by these pain fibres and so damage to these nerve endings could result in the inappropriate transmission of painful sensations in response to simple tactile stimulation. http://www.vulvodynia.com.au/articles/014.html ---------- > > I have two glands in paticular that get to bothering me even when my fibromyalia symptoms aren't in full mode, which luckily I've got a pretty good handle on most of the time. anyone with fibromyalgia ever had a gland biopsied? > these two glands get aggervated at the same time. > strange that these to glands are not included in the 17 glands used to diagnose fibromyalgia. wonder why? yet one of them was pushed on while I was being looked at by a infectious disease doctor, hurt like heck. > one under my left arm pit, the other one at the top of the left thigh. > anyone else ? >
