Guest guest
I cannot believe someone would suggest such a thing as killing a poor defenseless pet to resolve their issues. If you could not have him you could have found him a good home to live. Not resort to killing.  I just cannot condone such behavior in anyone. What fault did it have?? Why such a drastic measure ?? That is just cruel and unforgiving. I have 3 and am very reactive and have dealt with moving issue and did not result to such cruel behavior. I cleaned them took the time to clean them very very well as our selves. Since we too have hair and skin that sheds. How cruel can you be ?? You could have looked for a home for it.  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: dianebolton52 <dianebolton@...> Sent: Sun, September 5, 2010 6:28:56 PM Subject: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  With all due repect D , PLEASE do not suggest people put their animals down
Guest guest
My gosh...I just have to chime in here. If it weren't for my little dog, who is also my service animal due to her ability to alert me to mold and chemicals, I don't know what I would do. My social life has become a void; I, too, have issues with allergens/exposure when I'm around people/places.  I'm sorry to hear of those of you who have not been able to save your animals. I disagree with some who have said animals cannot be part of a living safely equation. That may be true for some. HOWEVER, I will caution again that we are all different.   It seems odd to me that an animal could contaminate in any greater way than a child or a human; they can be bathed; their skin can be treated. I'm confused by treating animals like objects that are the bearers of mold and contamination.  For me, my dog has become my mold/chemical detective due to her extreme sensitivity AND a trusted companion whose needs force me to walk for her " business. "  I'm convinced that my necessity to walk her throughout the day saved me and my lungs when I was most ill. I live where the outside air is healing; walking her became my safest haven. Good thoughts and prayers for those of you who have lost your furry friends, sally ________________________________ From: dianebolton52 <dianebolton@...> Sent: Mon, September 6, 2010 11:25:27 AM Subject: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  My feelings exactly Jackie. No one should ever post that there is " no way to deal with animals at all. " Terrible advice. Animals are part of the family and need to be cared for like anyone else... Guest guest
Bless you,,,,,,,,In our case Honey was his way of knowing when he was going to get a drop attack. She forced him down , to lay down and knew when he was going to be ill. She never left his side if he was, watched his eyes closely for any movement. Hour upon hour she would lay be his side his faithful companion always. He has been completely devastated by her passing as she was his comfort in a time of need especially after the mold exposure .  She is dearly, deeply missed by us both. One is my shadow if I move he never losses sight of me. They are the unconditional love that can only be gotten by them. Unconditionally and forever.   God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: REV.ANK PETER <mustangsally2254@...> Sent: Mon, September 6, 2010 10:44:42 PM Subject: Re: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  My gosh...I just have to chime in here. I
Guest guest
Thank you Sally,  I am so glad you have your baby to care for you and be with you during this difficult time. She sounds amazing. I have googled glutoine for our little ones. They can have it according to the sources.  I only wish she had not paid with her life for the unexusable accidents of others. Combined with the mold expsure. It is very hard as you said when their is no one they are our family. We soak them in epson salts, baking soda and just recently got Magnesium salts. For all of us to use.  Vets that understand this is hard. I cannot go to those offices and now neither can one of them.  I have 2 now and do not know what would happen if we lost another right now. Too soon. Take Care !! Thanks for sharing !! God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen
Guest guest
Thank you Kathy, Have little time but let me say microfiber is a polyester so it is a petroleum by product and probably why you do not tolerate it. I don't either. I was getting PJ burns back then and found out why. Silky PJ are just poly. unless they say silk 100%. Now I only use cotton. After a few washes if regular. God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: KathyB <calicocat477@...> Sent: Tue, September 7, 2010 2:54:14 PM Subject: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  Sally, That's an amazing story. Animals can be wonderful companions. All they ask is us to loved & fed. They don't care what we look like.
Guest guest
Surella! She has been doing this ever since I became so ill in April; I didn't train her. It's her sensitivities, and she seems to innately know that I am sensitive, too. She just will whine and try to leave and/or sneeze until I pay attention. Sometimes, if I'm talking with someone and don't pay attention right away, she will become " obnoxious " and refuse to be ignored. The layperson might just think she is ill-mannered; to me, she is a lifesaver. She will not be ignored if I am in danger from mold/chemicals, etc. She will pull on the lead and sit and whine and pull and sit and pull until even if I'm in the middle of an important conversation. I cannot ignore her. I feel blessed; she's officially an assistance dog, but even with the protection under law and with her vest on, I still face issues from some businesses which say, " She doesn't look like a service dog. "  And what do they look like?  Ah, well. Anyway, she is hyper alert and sensitive to anything harmful, and I just can't imagine not having her. Luckily, I didn't have to train her other than agility and obedience training. Very smart and even more intuitive!  Thank you, God, right? Good thoughts, sally
Guest guest
How did you get her officially certified ??  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: sally b <mustangsally2254@...> Sent: Tue, September 7, 2010 10:21:36 PM Subject: Re: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  Surella! She has been doing this ever since I became so ill in April; I didn't train her.
Guest guest
to the baby (dogs) you can also give them Nac, Salmon Oil , Flax Oil, Primrose Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Spirulina, Echinacea, just have to find out the doses. Never start more than one at a time. To test for reaction, natural can still be allergic.   I am not familiar with baby (cats) . God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen _______________________________ From: californiamustangsally <mustangsally2254@...> Sent: Tue, September 7, 2010 10:27:35 PM Subject: [] Re: OT: rant: I cannot believe it's all come back - one more note: NO ANIMALS  Kathy! Your cats are lucky to have a sensitive, caring " mom. " I, too, only give my furry family (dog and cat--the cat isn't as sensitive as my dog) food with no cereal or fillers. Expensive? Yes, but I want them to be as comfortable and healthy as possible. I would skip a meal (and do sometimes) if it meant that they would be healthy. I adopted them; I'm responsible for them. Right? Anyway, thanks for your great reply and your thoughtful responses. I have given both glutathione, per advice found through a holistic, homeopathic vet. Really helped symptoms in both. Guest guest
This is what I wanted to express when I saw all the posts about pets. I love my Callie Rose. When the whole world seem to be failing me, she never ever does. And even if she did? Well, I adopted her and it's my responsbility to keep her safe and content.
