Guest guest
Robin, You hit the nail in the head, Robin! " ... when you realize you are on your own that you either give up, allow someone you dont trust control over your health ... or start educating yourself. " And this points to a fear greater than the " fear of toxic black mold " or the fear of " cross-contamination. " Fear of loss of control over your life. THAT is the biggest obstacle to managing our exposures. And creates the most insecurity, doubt, and FEAR! If we give up then we give up control to the " mold. " If we surrender to an authority we don't trust (even if they are right) we give up ALL of our control, risking more victimization. But if we start educating ourselves we fear we will be totally " out of control " because we know little, are confident of even less, and the world is full of contradictory authorities who don't hesitate to criticize and publicly humiliate us. Our society teaches you that trusting yourself is bad. Fear from staying in the mold may sometimes be the least fearful choice of all. Taking personal control and responsibility may be the most fearful. What to do when the experts don't agree? Who do we trust and why? This is why exposure related illness (it's not just mold) can be so difficult and how we inadvertently contribute to the difficulty for ourselves and others. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC (fm my Blackberry) [] Immune Stimulants/Re: OT: Beta - Glucan Hi Jeanine.. I know at least one other person with lyme and a slew of co infections as well as the 3=4=53 who is doing pretty well. He also was exposed to stachy and had to leave leaving " most " of his belongings. He treats with photons and herbs. Most herbs are antifungal so this is helpful. Photons (or rife) do not cause fungal flares and can be used to treat fungus. The problem is the inflammation and I may ask him about that. He uses a lot of detox and recently completed another round of csm and treated for macrons. There are ways. it can be so diff for each person. Lymie people tend to have a lot of infections brewing, so we are really a slime pit. Also I dont know if I have lyme. Dont know what symptom is what. So if I treat better to use herbs and electro-light medicine than abx. There are ways to control inflammation that I need to get a handle on. Also have to address the sinuses. Shoe has a video I need to look at. I think he treats short term with abx and then treats biotoxin. There is controversy here though.. many ILADS MDs (lyme literate) claim you cant get rid of lyme so quickly. I am hearing up to 9 years on abx which I cannot imagine.. some people just cant get rid of it... which makes me alwo question what we are really dealing with. But yes.. it a balance of maintaining the " terrain " (bugs, inflammation.. kill the bugs increase the inflammation but dont kill the bugs and incrase the inflammation and damage.. damage eitehr way because of the inflammation) as well as possible.. its a full time job if you do this yourself. You can find a LLMD (and they are hard to find and costly) and let him or her decide your treatment (which is usually lots of abx) or you can find other ways.. some LLMD, ND, etc use herbs.. harder to find and even fewer of those are aware of mold illness. Its garbage like this .. when you realize you are on your own that you either give up, allow someone you dont trust control over your health (and Ive finally found an MD who is willing to work with me and help me, but we are learning together and he doesnt treat lyme) or start educating yourself. Robin > > Robin, Dr.T. is right about TH17, there should be several posts on this subject too in the archives, also just useing google search should bring up articles. sorry I dont know much about lyme, only that it affects much in the same way as other toxin exposures. > I think your right to question your use of lyme med's when you are dealing with both issues. but thats just my opinion. did you find any info. on Shoemakers site addressing haveing both issues?
