Guest guest
Hi Tara, You can take more sniffs or you could try rubbing on your temples. You might want to mix it with some coconut oil first to dilute it. Don't take it internally or you will increase your die-off symptoms. I just wanted to check with you about your vitamin B complex. I hope you meant to type 50mg, not 500mg. The correct dosage is 50mg. (Group Moderator) > > I woke up today with a sinus headache. <snip> > Anyhow, I looked up sinus headaches in your search and Oil Of Oregano is the answer. I have it, the one you suggest from I herb. I just want to check if I should take a drop mixed with cocunut oil internally, or is too soon? I did take 2 sniffs of it. Should I rub a little on my temples? >

I have been following your diet gradually for the past week; and introducing supplements slowly. I am taking 500mg vitC twice a day and one B-complex, 500mg. +++Hi Tara. Do you mean one B-complex, 50 mg (not 500 mg) ? I started bone broth last night. I also took a tsp of cod liver oil. I know not to do too much to fast. > Anyhow, I looked up sinus headaches in your search and Oil Of Oregano is the answer. I have it, the one you suggest from I herb. Should I rub a little on my temples? +++Do not take the oil of oregano internally, and instead treat your sinuses which is the cause of your headache. Use vitamin C as explained in this article on Sinus & Nose Treatments: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sinus4.php Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C) — Make your own sodium ascorbate by mixing equal amounts of ascorbic acid crystals (available at the health store) and baking soda - stir together to mix well. Put 3/4 of a teaspoon of that mixture into slightly less than 1/2 cup of warm sterile water (sterilize tap water by boiling it for 30 minutes). Mix well and put 10-20 drops in each nostril, OR using a nasal spray bottle squirt it 3 times into each nostril. Taking vitamin C this way increases absorption by 1,000 times over taking it by mouth. Follow the instructions for putting drops in your nose. This treatment may help alleviate the symptoms, however healing comes from within, and sinus problems are a common die-off symptom because your body creates more mucus in order to get rid of toxins. So it is important to let your body do its things and not suppress the symptoms. Also apply a cloth dipped in tap water (not real cold) and apply one to the back of your neck and one to your forehead. All the best, Bee >
Guest guest
Hi Tara, You'll get a little greasy, but the oils absorb very nicely into the skin. You just need to wait a bit. Do you mean greasy? Those oils soak into the skin very well, so even when you apply coconut oil on your face as a moisturizer it doesn't stay oily - but you need to use very little of it too. Natural oils like coconut, butter, lard wash very easily out of clothes, unlike man-made oils which are petroleum based, like plastic. Guest guest
I am going to start on deep breathing with my kids when they get home from school. My sinus headache has subsided, I did do the 2 sniffs of oil of oregano, b/c once the headache gets out of control it is too late. I am going to read your advice on treating sinuses, rather than treating the headache. we do have mold on our sheetrock in the bathroom. It has just gotten noticabley bad in the past month. I am going to have my husband clean it with Borax. It is just so overwhelming to get all of the right info into my brain fast enough. I hope I am doing okay, and am feeling hopeful! Thanks. I actually slept well last night too... I of course have to get off the melatonin, and neurontin gradually, I know! ________________________________ From: Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> Sent: Mon, January 11, 2010 9:45:24 AM Subject: [ ] Re: sinus headache > > Thanks, and yes 50mg B-complex. That's great you slept well. You do not have to gradually go off melatonin. Only go off neurontin gradually. Onward & Upward Bee

Guest guest
Hi Ginger, What alkalol? I use plain sea salt and distill water. I can pretty much figure out how much to pour since I have done it so long but I don't remember the exact measurements. My dr recommends buying the packets..I can't think of the name but they are pre-measured and pretty much the same thing I am using. He said that since I insist on making my own, to use either sea salt or kosher salt with distill water. One can add a pinch of baking soda for more cleaning action and a smoother rinse. I too had horrible sinus issues in the mold. Right now I have a cold but a cold is not near as bad as the kind of sinus problems one gets from mold. One thing I almost forgot, mucnex (SP?) is great for unclogging the sinuses. It is the main ingredient, guaifenesin 600 mgs which helps to unclogged. My family doctor prescribed the prescription strength which is a higher dose but I can't remember how much. I don't think one cannot get it by prescription any more. You can get the guaifensein at Fred's for like 3.00 or 4.00...a lot less than the name brand. It is labeled " Chest Congestion. " Just make sure it only has guaifenesin in it. Drink tons of water with this stuff and it will clean the mucus out along with the nasal rinse. > > my allergist has me using steam and cleanong my sinuses with mixture of > water and AlKalol > > > In a message dated 9/6/2010 8:32:03 A.M. Guest guest
Tush, you might try useing a neti pot to wash your sinuses with, I use distilled water and a small pinch of regular canning salt found in the grocery store in the canning goods section. I usually wash my sinuses at night before I go to bed, helps me sleep, and if I fell a headacke comeing on that I relate to my sinuses, I quickly wash my sinuses. excederin sinus tablets sometimes help. also for me a gold washrag at the back base on the neck helps, or on the forhead if the headacke is more frontal, but if cold doesn't agree with you you might not get releif from that, I have heat assoiated with mine so cold helps on those areas. hope this helps. > > > I am having cold problem from last 20 years. Guest guest
Sounds like it could also be trigeminal neralgia which would give you pain, jaw, behind ears, nap of the neck. I drop hot water, not very but a lot of pressure water on my shoulders, nap of neck, get some trigger points along shoulder blades and I get some relief like that. Wash my hair and massage the scalp. Then the nasal rinses that is mentioned. I use a saline solution , put it in and clear the sinuses, use more than once and daily the inflamation will go down.  Hope this helps. God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: Tush Tt <tusht2010@...> Sent: Mon, September 6, 2010 7:55:59 AM Subject: [] sinus headache  I am having cold problem from last 20 years.
