Guest guest
Thanks so much, Sue. I'll check it out. I've never enjoyed saunas before and don't tolerate heat well now, so it doesn't sound appealing. I've been told by my doc and others that it can be extremely effective! Again, thanks... ________________________________ From: sue <svican@...> Sent: Sat, August 21, 2010 11:56:05 AM Subject: Re: [] Re: magic potion  you buy your own sauna, heavenly heat saunas, google and you will find, are usually well tolerated. sue v. >Forgive me if I'm asking something that has been widely accepted for >years, but >I'm reading about sauna treatments being super effective. My doctor >referred me >for this treatment, but I would have to travel, and driving continues to be a >challenge. Does anyone know of good sauna treatments that are portable,
Guest guest
get the book detox or die by sherry rogers, a now retired EI doc who had a toxic exposure herself, she tells you how to sauna in there, also start very very slowly and on low heat & work up, make sure someone else is around to watch, time you, whatever in case you feel weak and need help getting out (unlikely), drink lots of water, need to replace minerals, etc. dr. rea says to be effective detox you need to be at 140 degrees for 20+ minutes, but no longer than 30 minutes at a time, he checks all sorts of stuff in a blood panel every 5 sauna sessions, he also says to sauna every day ideally to be most effective but I am sure any amount would be good, do 5 minutes to start and see how you feel.... sue >Thanks so much, Sue. Guest guest
Sue: Thanks for the book reference. Love my doctor, but I also love learning everything I can from others who may have a different protocol. That's why I love this group...and don't want people to leave. Whine...grovel...sally ________________________________ From: sue <svican@...> Sent: Sat, August 21, 2010 4:44:22 PM Subject: Re: [] Re: was: magic potion now: portable saunas  get the book detox or die by sherry rogers, a now retired EI doc who had a toxic exposure herself, she tells you how to sauna in there, also start very very slowly and on low heat & work up, make sure someone else is around to watch, time you, whatever in case you feel weak and need help getting out (unlikely), drink lots of water, need to replace minerals, etc. dr. rea says to be effective detox you need to be at 140 degrees for 20+ minutes, but no longer than 30 minutes at a time, he checks all sorts of stuff in a blood panel every 5 sauna sessions, he also says to sauna every day ideally to be most effective but I am sure any amount would be good, do 5 minutes to start and see how you feel.... sue >Thanks so much, Sue. I'll check it out. I've never enjoyed saunas >before and >don't tolerate heat well now, so it doesn't sound appealing. I've been >told by >my doc and others that it can be extremely effective! Again, thanks... > >________________________________ >From: sue <svican@...> >
