Guest guest
my guess would be, it sounds like a low dose exposure to mycotoxins, possably stachy or fusarium toxins in his basement. and it sounds like sometimes his job is causeing a exposure of sorts too. sounds like his activitys in the basement would have involved some chemicals which probably added to his exposure making him more sensitive to the basement contamination, myco's. I do believe basements exspecially can have a almost invisable mold sorse that could be very hard to lay a finger on but a sorse of myco's. like where water may be coming up against the outside of a cement wall and setting there. I've seen a situation like this and mold was growing on the inside of the cement without ant possable water sorse except a cement slab outside, patio, where it was unlevel and cause water to run up against the house in this area. you wouldn't think it grows in cement but it sure appeared that way. > > Posted on Fri, Jan. 29, 2010 > > > Mystery illness strikes Glouco pathologist > By Jan Hefler > > http://www.philly.com/inquirer/local/nj/20100129_Mystery_illness_stikes_Glouco_p\ athologist.html > > > Inquirer Staff Writer > Philadelphia Inquirer > > > Gerald in earns his living figuring out how people died. Guest guest
if it wasn't actually getting through the cement it was causeing a sweating effect or condensation effect. ? > > > > > > Posted on Fri, Jan. 29, 2010 > > > > > > Mystery illness strikes Glouco pathologist > > By Jan Hefler > > > > http://www.philly.com/inquirer/local/nj/20100129_Mystery_illness_stikes_Glouco_p\ athologist.html > > > > > > Inquirer Staff Writer > > Philadelphia Inquirer > > > > > > Gerald in earns his living figuring out how people died. Guest guest
Yes sounds like a sickbuilding issue but also could be exposure with chemicals at work and in the basement. But if he is fine after sleeping in tent-- something is going on in the house. I also had the cement problem. No water damage but cracks outside in the foundation from trees and eventually indoor mold formed in basement walls behind foundation and panelling. > > my guess would be, it sounds like a low dose exposure to mycotoxins, possably stachy or fusarium toxins in his basement. and it sounds like sometimes his job is causeing a exposure of sorts too. > sounds like his activitys in the basement would have involved some chemicals which probably added to his exposure making him more sensitive
