Guest guest
Tug , When I had that same problem I was given doxicycline. However, I had that problem again and this is what I did. I took baking soda as directed on the box. (Lower my body acid). I got organic garlic and had 3 cloves a day. For 3 days then tappered down. A tooth infection can be a very serious problem. It is close to the brain and heart and it can travel and infect blood easily. So please use caution what ever you do. By the way the doxicycline is to be used low dose, that is the way it was precribed for me. Guest guest
Tug, Have you tried taking probiotics about every couple hours afterward. It may just be upsetting your gut bacteria. > > I was put on clindamycin for a gum infection and I think its making me sick. Guest guest
Mayleen, When you say you took baking soda by mouth according to box directions, are you referring to Arm and Hammer that has directions on box? Also did you take the garlic close whole or did you crush it up in something like oil? When I put garlic directly in my mouth it hurts terribly. > > Tug , When I had that same problem I was given doxicycline. However, I had that > problem again and this is what I did. I took baking soda as directed on the > box. Guest guest
My pleasure, when I notice the swelling in my case I know it was infection. The garlic initially made it throb, the reason because it is draining it. Next day all bad stuff is out, and I keep treating for a few more days to make sure it is gone. I wish you well. Please be careful. Tooth infections can be very serious. About 9 years ago or so. I had very bad headache with facial pain. It was so bad I went to ER. I had no broken , chipped teeth or anything. Dr looked said it was a molar. I thought he was crazy. All of them were fine. (dumb me) . I went home called dentist to make an appointment.   About 7 pm I noticed swelling under my jaw. In 2 hours the swelling was larger than a gulf ball. I called the dentist again. He told me to meet him at his office. He opened the office 9:00 pm to see me. He then looked and said he had to pull a filling out to drain. The filling came right out along with lots of garbage. He told me good thing I called him I would not have made it to next day. I had a mandibular infection.   A gland under the jaw line and drained threw the molar. He said that type would have killed me in 24 hrs. I got lucky. I always now have to watch the gland. If it happens again then they have to operate to take it out.   So please excersie caution when dealing with tooth, molar problems. Take care God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: Tug <tug_slug@...> Sent: Sat, September 18, 2010 8:04:51 AM Subject: [] Re: safe antibiotic  Thank you Mayleen I'm going to call his service today and see if he'll switch me over. Guest guest
Yes I use A & H. I put 1/2 tspn in 8 oz water, desolve completely and drink. A few times a day. Brings down body acid. The garlic you try to harm the colve as little as possible. So if you can take it like a pill then take it. If too large then slice in 2 or 3 and drink each slice down with water.  I treated my lung infection like this as well. My lungs are pretty bad and I should have gone to hospital but I am more affraid of them. AH here.  I also used the A & H then also. I had a fever, monitored the fever. I got it because I did go somewhere, so I did not feel the hospital would help and might make me worse.  It was a risk I took. It worked. I also put castor oil on my bac lungs to expell the stuff, ease pain. That worked too. So well I did not have any phlem for quite some time so I should do this regularly.  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: barb b w <barb1283@...> Sent: Sat, September 18, 2010 9:24:34 AM Subject: [] Re: safe antibiotic  Mayleen, When you say you took baking soda by mouth according to box directions, are you referring to Arm and Hammer that has directions on box? Guest guest
I can see washing the garlic down and out of mouth okay but doesn't it then hurt the stomach? > The garlic you try to harm the colve as > little as possible. Guest guest
Everyone should tell the pharmacist that they have a severe ALLERGY to penecillan and mold based antibiotics. That is the only way they will get it. > > I was put on clindamycin for a gum infection and I think its making me sick. Guest guest
I haven't been paying much attention to this topic until now but can you figure it out yourself? I wouldn't trust the pharmacy to keep up on that for me. > > Everyone should tell the pharmacist that they have a severe ALLERGY to penecillan and mold based antibiotics. Guest guest
Like meds you eat and then swallow garlic. Or I have done without. I never repeat the garlic. That is why you do not want to cut it up alot. Only if necessary. You need all the oil in the garlic God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: barb b w <barb1283@...> Sent: Sat, September 18, 2010 4:58:52 PM Subject: [] Re: safe antibiotic I can see washing the garlic down and out of mouth okay but doesn't it then hurt the stomach? > The garlic you try to harm the colve as > little as possible. Guest guest
, thats what I've been doing for quite some time. your right, all you have to do is tell them your allergic to mold driven antibiotics. they do get that. > > > > I was put on clindamycin for a gum infection and I think its making me sick.
